Thanks, Razzorman - the folks on that site really like talking about Saira, it's their second entry on this list.

It's funny how they describe the game:

If you like Metroidvanias, you'll love Saira. If you hate Metroidvanias, you'll love that Saira doesn't actually feel like a Metroidvania.
