Loupe in Photoshop?
« on: August 27, 2009, 22:04:41 »
does anyone know of a way to get a Loupe window (like in GraphicsGale) or something of the like in Photoshop CS3?
for those of you that don't know, it's a preview window that's zoomed in a bunch for individual pixel editing. very useful for making tilesets.

I've got Photoshop 7, go to Windows > Documents > New Window. Don't know if the menu names are different in CS3.

You mean something like this?

If you mean directly in Photoshop, I would zoom in. A quick way is Ctrl-Scrollwheel.

You can quickly move in a zoomed window by holding space and move the mouse.

Really? I got this from the third site: http://www.dpmag.com/how-to/image-processing/photoshop-cs3.html

2 Check fine details in Bridge with a new, cool loupe. Remember the days when photographers used to use a glass or plastic loupe to check out the details in a 35mm slide? The new loupe feature in Bridge does just that. It's great for checking out fine details, as well as looking for dust spots. You access the loupe simply by moving your cursor into the picture in the Preview window and then by clicking on the point you want to magnify.
I don't know if thats helpful or not, but I thought it was when I posted the google search.
