[Very Legally Downloadable DOS Game] [Platformer] Bio Menace
« on: December 16, 2009, 02:19:29 »
Or Biomenace, or BioMenace, or whatever suits your needs best.

Get the game hereDirect download link.

-It's a platformer!
-You have a mullet and an assault rifle!
-Fight both mutants and robots at the same time!
-Marvel at Jim Norwood's ability to actually draw things at a reasonable scale!
-Possibly original music by Bobert Prince!
-A "Hard" mode that's actually hard!
-Discontinued and thus released as freeware!
-Weepy, albeit short, "good old days" monologue included!  (Though it turned out to be kind of prophetic, referring to indie games.)

In all seriousness, this is in my opinion a great game, which I've been playing and replaying since before anyone used Windows.  I decided to post it here only now.  Those wondering how to play it without actually installing DOS should try DOSBox.

Required but honestly useless screenshots, lazily taken from the game page:

I request elaboration upon this unexpectedly ambiguous statement.

You say it's [Very Legally Downloadable DOS Game]. So, if it's not, then we can sue you 'cause you said it was legal.

Uh... it's available for download as freeware ON THE CREATORS' WEBSITE. How more obvious does it need to be?

Although I have my doubts in how fun this game will be, it is legal.

I think this was posted more to prove a point than because the poster really enjoyed this playing it in 2009.

Nah, I had the idea to post this game long ago, before the forum crash in fact.  I just held off on it because I figured nobody here wanted to play a DOS game; the posting of another one, legal or not, was a considerable encouragement.
