Battlefield Heroes
Spoiler: Screens (click to show/hide)

Dice's brand new game, the newest entry in the renowned Battlefield series. Persistent online multiplayer, a fun new game engine, colorful graphics, a whole lot of customization, and it's all FREE!

IGN's summary:
"Battlefield Heroes is a persistent online shooter that offers a much more light hearted and colorful view of combat than the Battlefield games on the PC and consoles. The game is free-to-play, with optional micro transactions, and it's a way for EA and DICE to delve into the growing free-to-play market."

(Free registration is required to download, so I can't provide a direct download link.)

Umm... I haven't played it, but isn't it basically just a standard match-based shooter? That's certainly not massively multiplayer.

just for clarification,
MMO=Massively Multiplayer Online.
I'm not sure where the line is drawn with "massively".
