How do I convert an mp3 to ogg. vorbis with audacity? Do I need plugins? And how do I lower the volume of a song in audacity?
-
Load up the MP3, and go to File -> Export as Ogg Vorbis (in the stable version), or File -> Export with the file type set as "Ogg Vorbis Files" (in the beta).
-
export it
you can go to the volume settings when you edit it inside audacity. :)
-
All the export options are grayed out. :( I did find the volume though. X)
-
did you import the audio file?
-
I'm not sure, but now the options are not grayed out. I have no idea why, it just decided to work. Thanks for the help! :D
-
You should use something else silly!
-
Like what? I downloaded Dbpowerramp, but I can't find it.

something like an audio converter.
and if you cant play .ogg files you can just use ks
-
Are there any free ones that you reccomend? And the reason I need to convert songs is for KS. I'm glad I know how to do it now!
-
Theres one from nch software
you can downgrade to the free version :)
-
I think I know what your promblem is. You probably had the audio paused. It needs to be stopped to modify the options or export the file.
