Yes its possible. In fact, using cheats will probably make it impossible to get past one section.
But you need to use many secret passages.

I've managed to find almost all items in Knytt XH but I just can't seem to find this orange wheel/screw thingy. I know it must be under the ocean, near the crashed spaceship. I've literally been looking everywhere but I suppose I keep missing a secret passage.

Thats actually the hardest part of the game! I'll put it into 2 spoilers so you might try and find it yourself.
If you know the cactus area, you can skip this one. The entrance to this hard place is located in the cactus area.
How to reach the cactus area? From the start go down and left all the way till you reach a dead end. It looks a bit like this: |\. You can do a walljump from the left side to get to the secret entrance.
Assuming that you're in that area but you cannot find out what to do next... Go a few screens right. There should be a gap that you can jump over with spikes on the bottom pointing up. If you look closelly, there's a passage on the bottom left of that gap that has no spikes. You can actually jump there to get on the bottom of the screen. Be aware that if you miss something there you'll die. It'll take you a few screens to the left to nearly impossible jumps and so. You have been warned. XD

Okay, thank you for your quick answer and your kind help! And you're right, this IS hard... I haven't had too many problems with this Knytt version until now, but this is really amazingly difficult... I'll still have to try many many times, but at least now I know where I have to go... :P I was also suspecting that you might have to go back to the tutorial because I thought I had seen a warp point there, right above the area where it tells you what hitting A does, but starting the tutorial just... well, started the normal tutorial :shifty: The reason why I put this in a spoiler is that it might be possible that this way actually does lead to the tutorial - but don't tell me, I'll find that out by myself! (I hope...)
You must press L+H to do so, even if you've found the code before.
You have to press L+G at the same time, without the plus sign :)
