There's only one instance of the name "NotKnytt" in this whole forum.
Well, now there's 2, 3, 4...
You have probably heard of Night Game, Project Q, and KnyttWaDF.
NotKnytt was the codename of Knytt Stories.
As far as I know, almost all objects looked the same, when compared to the current version.
All of them... but 9.
These are the key differences:
- Juni's hair was brighter and noticeably blue, which is why the default level icon and the hologram have blue hair. They are Beta Juni.
- The umbrella was the same color as Beta Juni's hair, and it was a mirrored version of the left-facing umbrella. Not only that: It also had the full pole and the handle, which made it look like Juni was visibly holding it, but it looked a bit weird.
- The Run Shoe was a literal "Run Shoe".
- The climb power was a climbing glove.
- No Music and Sticky were "Mode 1" and "Mode 2".
- The shift floor was a wide static spot, and it was called "Invisible Dimension Shift".
- The chomp traps had no face.
So I made some custom objects with their sprites.
This pack contains:
- Beta Juni
- The beta umbrella
- 0:3 Run Shoe
0:4 Climb Sphere
0:9 Umbrella - Their respective icons
- 0:12 Mode 1 (Beta No Music)
0:13 Mode 2 (Beta Sticky)
0:14,15,16 Invisible Dimension Shift (Beta Floor) - The faceless chomps:
6:5 Eater
12:10 Ghost Eater
Thanks to Jace for extracting the sprites from two beta builds of KS.

these are cool

I had to recreate the blue umbrella from a screenshot, because it's from the super early December 2006 builds.
The other objects are from J's 2007 builds.
So, I wonder if all the powers were wearable at first
-
of course, the shoes and gloves would have been literal shoes and gloves! Shudder to imagine the amount of sprite sheets needed to account for the various combinations of abilities though.
-
Yep. That's what Plural's doing for her upcoming level

Shoes are cool! And gloves idea was "reused" in The Great Work if I remember correctly.
