Yes, I've invested in a certificate ensuring that all traffic is now encoded.
Why? Because Chrome and Firefox are now doing checks for login pages and will issue a warning that a page is non-secure. Its still not necessary as one can simply ignore the warning and continue, but given that it is in my power to do this, why not.
It enhances the browsing experience, so why not.
