yeah, reposting this level because I feel like it. this was my first knytt stories level, so it holds a special place in my heart. <3

so basically, you're a guy who's tired of living in the city -- you decide to leave. it may sound simple, but it's not nearly as simple as you may at first think. you'll find yourself running around strange unique places hidden in the streets and alleyways of the city, in search of four keys that reveal the way to a forbidden item that enables you to sneak past the strange creatures preventing you from leaving.

this level is fairly difficult, so beware I guess. beware ... (lol)

if there are any errors with the level, please feel free to point them out. even though this is rather old, I still want this level to be the best that it can be.
I've also been thinking of making this level have multiple difficulty levels, so keep your eye open for that aswell.

This was one of the first ones i downloaded of the old forum and it was great!  :D

It was nicely done and everything!  C)p

But i remeber a sge somewhere.... ill go look for it  :D

also, strange darkness, could you please (please ... with a cherry on top) show me a screencap of the SGE you're talking about? I'd appreciate it. also, glad you enjoyed my level so much! I'm flattered.

ah, that's strange, I don't see that in the level. are you sure you have the correct version?

Wow, this level is excellent.  It has unity without being boring, which is a challenge to do.  There's just the right amount of "random stuff" like the guy with all his pets for example.  I like how you made it so that you don't have to be familiar with Knytt Stories in order to be able to play this level (giving directions when you collect powerups).  It also has a very nice difficulty curve.  Keep up the good work!  :D

Played this a while ago. Absolutely awesome, really feels like a city and it's got a fantastic atmosphere.

I quite like this level, it's very creative and encourages exploration (like the guy said, if you don't know what to do, explore or cheat :P.) It seemed at first that there weren't enough checkpoints, but the level isn't to difficult so that may not be a bad thing...:/

to be honest, one of the best levels i have played! :D although, i havent played that many levels, but i know when i have fun so i guess it will stay like that for a while :D super job! love the looks and feeling of the city
