Title: Puzzle Adventure With Pictures
Post by: TheRealTJ on February 28, 2009, 04:07:40
In case you couldn't guess from the title, this is an adventure game using images.

The objective is for the player to reach a certain goal. This goal is reached by forum members posting their commands for the player to do. The first command is always the one chosen, so don't bother posting extra commands. Once an action is posted, whoever is making the story puts up a new image for the command. Once the goal is reached, some one else may start a new story.

Now, onto my story, already in progress:
Spoiler: Story So Far (click to show/hide)

And, now we can continue.

Read the piece of paper.

Failing to grasp the concept of "pitch black cave", you unfold the paper and attempt to read it.

Unsurprisingly, you can't.

Start the gameboy to use its light for reading the letter.

But, remember, this old Gameboy needs light to display, rather than producing light. :/

Ah yeah, I forgot. Disregard my command then.

Fold paper like a hat.

You fashion a hat out of the paper. An aura of coolness surrounds you.

Use the aura to illuminate the rectangular crack and the Braille for further inspection.

If I can append this, also use the aura to read the book.

On closer inspection, the crack is not only deep, but seems to go all the way through to the other end of the wall. You still don't know how to read braille.

Use aura to illuminate piece of paper and read it.
No! If you take off your hat, you will no longer be cool and the aura will fade.

It's possible to cant your head upwards while keeping the hat in place until it's on top of your eyes.  You'll still look just as cool if you paint eyes on your chin.

Walk back up the stairs to see what else you can find, and use the aura to avoid booby traps.

Be sure to grab some arrows from the boobytrap on the way back!

You pull the hat in front of your eyes so as to read it. Although one may think this is clever loophole, you just look plain silly, instead. Your aura begins to fade.

Put the hat back on and use the reflection in the gameboy screen to read some of the hat.

Good grief man, you didn't have to quote the whole thing with all those bloody images!

That said, I'm pretty sure TheRealTJ has abandoned this, at least for now; posting probably won't help.

Allright:

This is actually a great idea! You begin to disassemble the Game Boy...

Unfortunately, you actually don't have any technological skill, and have no idea how to put it back together.

You have acquired BROKEN GAME BOY PIECES and your MORALE attribute was reduced by 5.

This is not an action, it is a question. Can we still move forward, or is this a dead end?

find a... computer and use its light to read the piece of paper.

People seem to be forgetting the fact that THERE IS A DEEP, RECTANGULAR, DOOR-LIKE CRACK in the wall.

[mod]um, this is rather dead, and I really don't think it should be revived with borderline Official Forum Rules-breaking gory stuff. So I removed that.[/mod]
