Title: Find the Differences!
Post by: Shawnachu on February 28, 2009, 03:06:17
Here's the idea: one person posts an image like the one below (with two versions of the same image). All other people will have to take the image and circle the differences. The first person to get all the differences wins and can post the next image or pass. When he/she passes, anyone can post an image.

Tell how many differences are in your image.

Have fun!

(This image has 5 differences)

One, two, five, nine, negative twenty: yep. Found 'em all. Gimme time to get an image.

Nice game Shawnachu. :)

I'd like to point out, that the differences must not be pixelpresice. They must be able to be spotted by the naked eye, and it cannot be: but they have a different colour, unless you can really notice the colordifference.

You could put the two different images in diffrent layers then slowly turn down the opacity of the top layer.

You could, and I thought of that in two seconds...

But that would be cheating.

Tried the opacity thing: It REALLY shows the differences. Besides, it take the fun out of drying out your eyes.  :P

I'll make an image then. I'll modify it in such way that you can't pull the layers trick ;)

EDIT: If you're cheating anyway, then you might wanna try this one: put both images as seperate layesrs, and set the top one to differences. It'll show black + the differences ;) If you put the opacity of that layer to say... 80% it shows a dark image with highlighted differences. To combat for this, I've simply altered the shape of both images so overlapping both will give you a vague image. The differences are still very well spottable, but you can't pull tricks on this anymore. :)

Oooh. I go away 10 minutes, and I loose my position. Oh well... This'll be interesting

See my previous post. I've edited the post and added an attachment. I do not need you to edit my photo and draw the differences in. You can just tell me the differences written. Tell me what you see/not see and where its located. The changes are clearly visible, so if you say: the green trees look bigger on the right one, well thats not what I changed, its due to the perspective change. The objects I changed are missing in the other image partially/completelly.

Two rocks near the bottom left,
Snow on right mountain,
A triangular peak,
Small pile of rocks near the middle of the image,
Patch of snow in a reflection.

This one has five differences, although they're very hard to find, so I won't do any skewing or the like.

Okay, new one. (http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh268/therealtj0/5diffs.png)
Admittedly, not as hard as the others  :/

Oh, and there are five.

Either you've underestimated the difficulty of your image, or I suck  X-P. I've only found three...

EDIT: Had to cheat. There are two that are really hard to spot.

I can find 4 of them.

Spoiler: (click to show/hide)

Still looking for the 5th one..

If people agree, I can try something different for a next image. I can take 2 completelly different images, and copy 5 items between the images, so those items exist twice on the image, either on the same location or even somewhere else. :) What do you think?

EDIT: and the 5th one found too. See spoiler.

EDIT: The thumbnail's too small, you'll have to download it to see the circles.

Let me get a image...

EDIT2: Got it.

One of them's very hard to spot, so here's a hint:

Not quite, shawnachu. The two closest circles are the same difference.
