Title: I appear to be at the title screen.

Somehow I feel as though I should not be at the title screen.

. . .

I suppose, at the very least, I should mention how I ended up here. I was exploring The Figure, looking for a certain secret people had alluded to, and when I got to one particular section, one involving lots and lots of foreground and solid triangles, I ended up in a spot near the left of the whole mess (I apologize for a lack of screenshots, but I certainly had no idea such a thing would happen, and I'm certainly not gonna try recreating this glitch before I've explored its limits). Well, looking to see if maybe there was some secret passage I was missing, so I just tried turning into a ball for the hell of it, and fell right through the bottom of the map. Welp.

I think I bounced back and forth a few times between screens, but I took Mi form, and was on a totally black screen, and if I recall there was no fairies or locational glow in sight. I walked left, and to be honest, my memory is vague, but I think I ended up somewhere around here:

Oh Nifflas, I would never have even realized that passage existed if not for this little incident.

Well, I've tried a little, but I'm not sure I can get back at this point. That leaves one possibly minor, possibly major question: go forward? Honestly, I'm scared that if I attempted Knyttception here, I could be destroying my save file (really? Stuck in Chapter 1 during Chapter 3 with no way out, except to see how far I can explore this strange recursive world?), and since I'm on the Vita (oh, yeah, I probably should have mentioned that sooner), I'm not sure I could even cloud save safely from this point (I've been trying earlier, but being on vacation for some reason it wouldn't let me, possibly because the hotel didn't like anything outside port 80 or whatever?).

Saving in such state is probably a bad idea. :) If you don't save though, the save files aren't altered as I know, except for achievements list, which is a separate file.

But yet a part of me wants to experiment, for science! I have no idea if this glitch can be recreated, and I would hate if this opportunity went to waste simply because I chickened out with my save file. I'm so close to 100%, though! And having to do the whole thing over would just kill my interest!

EDIT: As it turns out, this is actually really easy to reproduce. Furthermore, going right instead of left is an alternate path to The Void!

Well, rather than make yet another edit, I figure I'll just make it as a new post:

Attempted Knyttception. The results are disappointingly, though thankfully, mundane. Using the title screen area seems to have it behave like a completely normal title screen. However Nicklas programmed it, it is at the very least solid enough to not break on a little recursion.

My guess is that the Title screen is actually just another area of chapter 3, and you just "wallswam" into it.

but then wouldn't the character turn into the silhouette sprite?
I can validate the shape thing though; I found a screen pnce where I shifted repeatedly resulting in ball getting stuck in a triangle

Nifflas explained this to me when it was discovered during the beta. Its possible to enter the Disorder this way too, and when you do so, all the loading scripts aren't loading. So mi doesn't turn black, and your abilities are not changed, so you can indeed transform to the ball.

Can you make a video of it? I'm trying to do it on PC, no luck so far.

In KS terms, character sprite changes occur on shifts. No shift triggered means character stays the same. If you do use one of the beaming lights in the menu, appropriate save is loaded from Settings\ or from World\Default Saves\ folder, so the game works as normal afterwards.

Now that I've done this over and over, it really seems like one of those, "it either works, or it doesn't" type glitches.

I should probably note, I never make videos, and am far too camera shy to ever make one. That being said. . .

I suppose there's a first time for everything. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y36XnLx-nug)

Looks like it's impossible on PC.

so the backway entrance to the disorder didn't get fixed after all! nice to find as I only really need to get to the secrets in there at this point.
