I'm trying to spread the word about the desktop release as much as I can, and would like to ask what gaming related websites you follow, so we can send out some press releases 'n such.

That's great news! I can't wait to get my hands on the game.

I would suggest you send it to Giantbomb's (http://www.giantbomb.com) Patrick Klepek (https://twitter.com/patrickklepek). He seems to be doing majority of coverage of indie games on Giantbomb. Hopefully they'll do a quick look of Knytt Underground.

I personally only watch Jay is Games (http://jayisgames.com/), a general PC gaming blog that's been online for years.
Though, they've already noticed Knytt Underground is on Greenlight and posted about it, so I assume they'll cover it when it comes out.

Oh, and great news, of course! What a perfect end-of-year present this would make!

The only relevant sites I watch are IndieGames (http://indiegames.com/index.html) and Rock Paper Shotgun (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/), both of which will probably cover you whether you contact them or not. It could be worth sending RPS a review copy or something though, as I think this is the kind of game that would get a glowing review there. I've also enjoyed reading anna anthropy's (http://www.auntiepixelante.com/) writings on your games in the past, I don't know if there's anything you could do with that!

On twitter I follow some indie devs and PixelProspector (https://twitter.com/PixelProspector). One of the devs is also a journalist: https://twitter.com/GunpointGame
PixelProspector has added KU into Greenlight Picks when I twitted them, perhaps they can also make a news that it's out. I don't think they do reviews though.
Also, back in the day I discovered KS by watching WolfireGames (https://twitter.com/Wolfire) game design overview video about it.
I don't follow actual websites, Kotaku and Penny Arcade come to my mind when I think "gaming website". Oh, also Metacritic (just heard about it, never visited until today).

I know I'm really late to this thread, but you should really submit it to Total Biscuit (http://www.youtube.com/totalhalibut) even though it's past release.  Shoot him an email and tell him what your game is about.  If he makes a video for you, you'll surely get greenlighted and plenty of sales (considering all of his videos get 200,000+ views, often more).

+1 on the idea. :) I watch his videos for some time now. Really good stuff. I'm currently very interested in his Dota2 videos, and will check the other videos after. Definitely a good idea.
