Oops. I accidentally uploaded the NightSky developer level editor here (http://www.ni2.se/files/software/nightsky%20editor/NightSky%20Editor.zip). It's not really that's user friendly as it's intended to be used by developers, and it's not designed for the HD version (though it'll work nicely for the HD version if you also provide HD assets).
The game isn't designed to load external levels super easily either, so see it more as a modding tool :)

Oops, that was later than expected. I finally fixed the editor, it should work now!

Oh Nifflas, you so clumsy!

Looks like I've figured out the basics.

Honestly I expected something a lot scarier when you played up how hard this level editor would be to use. It's actually fairly easy to use in my opinion, save some things that just gotta be puzzled out. For instance, I'm still not sure there's a way to make a physical graphically rotating circle with only one physics object, but I found a way to do it with 2.
I might make some levels with this.
Also made up a default tileset if anyone else is going to try some graphics.

A good idea is always to open a level in the editor that does what you want to do and look at what parameters I used for the object.
Oh, and remember that when drawing polygons, each shape must be convex and drawn counter-clockwise. It does however not apply to line objects (e.g. the ones that define the terrain). Oh, and line objects cannot collide with each other.

4 years later, I want to say thanks for uploading the level editor. I'm apparently the only one to have used it for a large-scale mod so far, but it's a really interesting tool.
