Title: Has anyone played this?
Post by: LPChip on September 16, 2012, 20:02:55
Nifflas actually added 2 games at the same time, and was like: nah, I don't tell anyone... :P

Well, he told me and Jace too, so I decided to add the forum for the game, and give it a little bit of attention.

Cassette Tape was created by Sara Sandberg, Sidsel Hermansen, Nils Koster, and Nifflas.

Its not a game like any of his others, as there's no winning objective it seems, more of a playground thingy. Still fun to do though.

Have anyone tried it?

Just played it a few times. I like it. It reminds me a bit of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSRpogC6MuA

I  have been playing with it and I really dig the pencil art style with the audio samples. I could definitely see this as a puzzle game. Maybe some kind of pattern copy game, where the buttons relate to a specific sound/graphical effect and the player uses the graphical clues on the buttons along with the audio feedback to recreate a specific pattern. The closer to the correct pattern they are the more harmonious the music is and mistakes create discordance.  If the player selects the wrong button, they can then deselect it and try again. I'm going to show this to my nephew as he is a big fan of audio/art interaction and I think he will get a big kick out of it!

Thank you for sharing it! C)

Just saw this for the first time.
I played around with it for a while, and I like it a lot :)
Very ambient and mysterious.
