Fraxy is a quick, boss-fight based shooter in space. You progress through increasingly hard bosses in the arcade mode, or choose from your favorites.
Also included is an easy to use, drag and drop editor, allowing you to create your own bosses.
Very fun and addicting.

I never understood this game. There is just so little to do. There is a boss battle mode, and another boss battle mode, and thats about it.
It doesn't even have any sound, and the window it plays in is really small. I know you can make it larger, but only slightly.
You can come a long way with good gameplay, but in the end you need to have a bit more to make a good game.
Why so many people like this game beats me.

I think people like the game because it's possible to actually design your own boss ship things, and show them to other users.

A game can be fun and simple at the same time. See: Knytt. Also, there is sound; you have to enable it.

Anyway, this is an awesome game. I'd give you guys my Fraxy bosses, but I accidentally deleted my site's /Files/ directory.

Edit: Nevermind, I found out. Turns out there was more than one menu in the config. X)
I guess its better than I thought it was. It just didn't feel complete before I turned the sound on. It felt more like an unfinished beta version.

It's an enemy pack so extract it from the winrar into your enemy folder in fraxy and play the bosses :D
(and check out traintracks, it's my best so far...)
I recommend using the boss editor to view the bosses weak points first because they are strong.

I forgot to mention, you have to download the newest version on the fraxy site.

Here's my boss pack: The Viking Series. (http://f.imagehost.org/download/0456/vikingIV)

Viking I: Really easy, but can be annoying when paired with other drones.
Viking II: A step up in level, it has a couple more weapons. Still easy.
Viking III: The definition of suicide. Nothing more needs to be said.
Viking IV: The definition of hard. It gets very hard (and annoying) since the boss darts all over the place, and you lose it trying to dodge all the bullets. While not as hard as III, it puts on a pretty light show until you die.

When you up the window size, it just doubles the pixels...

It would be good if the actual resolution was doubled instead, so you can see stuff that is a bit further away than the tip of your ship, most bosses don't even fit in the screen this way.

I downloaded this, and it's pretty cool. But I'm totally confused on the Boss Editor. I tried making a caterpillar boss, but it failed. X)

Swarm I: A swarm of flies. Pretty easy, really.
Swarm II: Dragonflies! A little harder, but not too bad.
Swarm III: Three mosquitoes. These guys are a little tougher than the dragonflies, but they're not too much of a challenge.
Swarm Queen: An upgraded fly, dragonfly, and mosquito. And the Queen, of course. This can be a daunting task with four insects flying around the screen. D:

This game was the reason I left the forum (before it had the error).
It's great. I would post links to my bosses but I cant be bothered.
Anyway, for the best bosses ever made (according to the Fraxy Community) look at "Eboshidori"'s on youtube.
There is also now a newer version which has a better resolution.
(P.S. you need to change that download link to version: 20090408beta, its the latest one.)

Anyway, back on topic now please. I want to play Fraxy, but this fricken laptop has only two USB slots, and its wireless card doesn't work. So I can't use the mouse if I want to have the Internet working and my Flash drive (with Fraxy) in as well.

Oh well... I can be patient.

Just change the controls in config to work with keyboard rather than mouse.

That's the problem, see. It's not my laptop; it's my mother's. I'm on vacation right now; otherwise I'd be playing Fraxy on my Vista desktop.

Anyway, the problem's solved: this hotel room only has wired Internet via an ethernet cable, leaving both USB slots free. :3

Drones and bosses, they are called through most of the Fraxy community. Anyway, the filename should appear at the bottom of the window; that usually has the name of the enemy on it.

There's been a lot of updates, such as the player bullet part and Player conditions, the newest version is:

Also, a preview of my newest boss; which will be done sometime this year:

It's name is Xerl, and it already has a basic moving system. The arms and sword can also currently move.

Warning! Enemy approaching!

I originally made these to kill kaizoman666 and SingingSurger, but they got a mind of their own, and they are crazy now!

Enemy analysis:

Normal ship: This is pretty easy. I bought it, and mounted a burner onto it. The burner has two blades. And, the boosters got bullets.

New ship: However you can't see it immeidately, this one got eight shells mounted on it. It also got an energy egg. And a tip with a ripple. The wings can shoot lasers, so i'd watch out s'more.

Soul: This huge ball of plasma was created when my ships turned evil. It can recover damaged parts, and shoot in every direction. It also releases plasma rings once in awhile. Oh, and also, you have to stay close to it if you want your attacks to be effective. I will mark the area in which you have to stay.

Oh, and all of them are invisible, so click here (http://www.mediafire.com/?mwyt0zn2gdy) to download the software that allows you to see them.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to, whenever you see one, dstroy it.
