Title: [Small/Challenge/Hard] Coldmist Mountain, by Talps and Jetio4

Made for the KS 'Collaboration' competition, Coldmist Mountain was made by Jetio4 and myself. When an eerie mist rolls down from the mountain, Juni must take a long, dangerous climb to try and learn what has happened and how she can make it right.

Great, when I get home I have to download and get both endings! :P
On a seperate note, this level took ~1.5 months. That was my fault ;_;

Not playing KS much these days, so the platforming was really hard for me, particularly the surprise attack screens, of which there were far too many for my taste. But the eerie atmosphere of the first area really made my day, stunning stuff and actually made KS ghosts look scary for the first time for me since I played The Machine... good job there.

you have made the level, i have recorded a playthrough within an hour of seeing the level for the first time without looking at it in the level editor. who's a cheater now (;

i won't record the secret ending, can't be arsed to find it

Ehh, I didn't make the endings, the shrine, or the secret ending. I know where the secret ending is, but I have yet to seen it.

Edit: I saw it and... LOLOLOLOL!

D'oh, I think I got the wrong font for the ending scenes.

Ah well. Considering this was only finished today, I'm rather chuffed that it already has a video on youtube :D Thanks again, Ortoslon!

EDIT: Oh gosh, watching that video I realise I've missed out the COs from the first appearance of the shrine. *bangs head against wall* Ugh, I can't believe I did that! *Feels extraordinarily stupid*

Nice level. The custom objects really add a lot.

I completed the requirements for the bonus ending after getting the normal ending in the same play through, but it doesn't work. If you get the normal ending first, then you have to play from the beginning to get the bonus scene... unless I missed something.

But, it's still a nice level.

Yes ego, that is the case. Sorry. But you can do it the other way round, if that's any consolation. Admittedly more planning and effort could have gone into that, but I was in a rush to get the end done.

What I did was start from the last power in the editer. This still allows you to get the secret ending.

Very nice level! A lot longer than I'm used to seeing for competition entries here. Seems like multiple authors can be really beneficial.

Yes, the length of the level has nothing to do with the fact that we took two and a half times the length of the competition. :P

I enjoyed this level! The difficulty felt right to me, as did the length, and the story was interesting and compelled me. I found both endings (though it took me a couple of tries to get the secret ending - I tried

going through the tunnels again the normal way instead of going up to the shrine

, which meant the ghost at the start of the tunnels had blank sign areas but nothing else changed).

It's a really good level I especially like the town in the beginning with the fog and spooky atmosphere.

My only gripe is that it uses cutscenes.. I suppose it's not you guys' fault, my computer just hates KS cutscenes.

Great - I like it. Especially the start with the great ambience.
I wish it was a bit longer though, but it was tagged as a small level so I really shouldn't be complaining about that.

I did expect it to be a bit harder though.

x1022y980 - place warp down back to the secret ending here and that would be it, secret ending would be accessible without level restart.
x1025y972 - texts of ghosts are empty. I think they should indeed differ, giving small hints about secret ending.
x1013y986 - it's possible to climb up to the left
x1022y980 and similar - these yellow killer objects don't kill. You can climb the outer wall.

My bad. That end section was made in about 6 hours, so I didn't have time to properly polish. I originally intended to set up the bonus ending differently as you suggest, but I didn't have the time.

(Doing it simply your way would have been a discontinuity - you could go from the dawn-time main ending to the night-time bonus ending, which is why I left it was is. I didn't have the time to set up a section for the bonus end, so it's rather awkwardly tacked on. And the ghosts with empty text boxes should probably have not had the boxes or have not been there at all - another oversight in my hurry. Sorry.)

Normally I'd play through a finished levels several times looking for things like what you've pointed out before even considering release, but I just didn't have time with this; we were a long way past the original deadline of the competition by then.

I went through the tunnel twice - saw the blank-text screen ghosts and now what do I do? I don't want to just put the eyeball on the pedestal because of what ego warned us about (if you get the normal ending first you can't get the secret ending) so what do I know - I can't go back any further due to do that damned fast purple ant-beast! lol. Where do I go? I've already had to replay the entire level due to completing the normal ending the first time. So......any help would be appreciated.

The final area makes a loop. When you get the umbrella you must not proceed forward from that point. Go back the way you came.

If you see the ghosts with blank messages then you are stuck with the normal ending. You must replay from the start.
