Title: Having trouble downloading? [SOLVED]
Post by: Aptequar on January 06, 2011, 20:22:09
For some reason when I try to download either the exe or the zip I experience problems. Firstly, the download is painfully slow, ~30kbps. Secondly, the download drops out at around 1/3 through. Other downloads from other sites run at full speed, so I can only assume it's a problem with the Nicalis site.

At any rate, I would like to play this game. ALOT.  :^^:

That may be because there are millions and millions of people downloading at the same time. :P
Nifflas is now officially rich. xD

I've been able to download the game but am receiving an error message when trying to open or extract the files.  Am I doing something wrong?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Error reads "The Setup files are corrupted.  Please obtain a new copy of the game"

Error for Zipped file reads: "The Compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted"

EDIT:  Downloaded again and installed without a problem.

powderj, maybe is (as PONTO said) that there is a lot of people downloading it, and your download stopped before the end, so the files got corrupted. Try again.

The alternative download site has identical problems, it's only a bit faster.

He'd better be rich!  He's more than earned it by now.  Can't wait for my download to actually finish so I can play this.  Feel like I've been waiting forever for it...

I didn't know this, but the script I programmed would time out if a download took more than 10 minutes. It wasn't a problem in my tests, as downloading was always faster. Jamie saved the day and created a new script which doesn't have this problem!

Sorry about the inconvenience!

I didn't want to make a new thread for this, so I thought I'd ask here.  I'm getting the error message:

Cannot load ForEach.mfx.  This object might need an external program or library not yet installed.

Well, google didn't held me.  Anyone know what's up?

Not running through Wine, are you? I get that sort of errors when I try to run Nifflas' more recent games with Wine...

I'm not running it off Wine, but I am in Bootcamp (too impatient to wait for the mac version).

Mahamajama: I think it's actually complaining that you don't have MSVCP90.dll. Try installing that and see if the problem persists.
