For some reason, on the home page of the forum, it says that it's the 19th, at 9:48 PM. This is incorrect, since as of now (locally) it's April 20th at 7:51 PM. I don't know what could be causing this, but it shows up elsewhere on the forum too, but NOT when I'm posting this. Any ideas on what the hell this is?

Go to Profile >> Look and Layout Preferences and locate the Time Offset setting near the top of the page. Set it manually or use the Auto Detect feature if necessary. :)
-
That's not the problem actually, because right now, as I am typing this, the time is right. It only seems to be off when I'm on the Home page, or checking unread replies/messages etc. Also it says that I have one less PM than I actually should. It really is dumbfounding, but I'll try what you said SiamJai...
EDIT: I tried it, but it didn't do anything. Also, the time is wrong while viewing my profile as well. :/   Excessive smileys.

Can you log-out, clear your cookies and temp files, and login again? That should fix the issue.
Edit: Actually, now that you say, it I notice it says 7:44 here while its 8:44. It does so everywhere though. Let me check the settings.
Edit2: I actually changed a setting to fix it. Go to your profile, look and feel, and press the auto-detect button after time-zone and it should fix the issue for you.

It's fixed! Thanks a lot you two!

It's not fixed. Now it's pretty much frozen at the time I said above, everything that happened on that day at that time is up to date, but not up to date with anything from now. Also, in Forum Games, it says that it's the 14th, and my avatar is back to that .gif, instead of what it should be. UGH. Could just be a problem with my computers, but I still don't know.

Sorry to hear that Pumpkin, it sounds really strange. What is your currently active theme? Are the problems still present if you switch to another theme? (Not suggesting it as a 'solution', but it would help narrowing down the causes if we knew that the bug is in the theme code. :) )
-
Sounds like a caching problem. You should clear your cache (again if you did it earlier).
-
I'm using the WaDF theme, if that helps, haven't tried switching them yet... I will tonight. Yes I cleared my cache (what I could find) and tried again and it was still no different.
-
Do you have the same problem in another browser?
-
Haven't checked yet, but it's quite possibly the theme, but it is also quite possibly not.
-
It's not the theme. I re-cleared my Temp. Internet files, did all that crap, and still nothing. It's a little better on the Knytt theme, but it still does it when I go anywhere except here.
EDIT: And yes I have the same issue in FireFox as I do Internet Explorer as I do Google Chrome as I do.... You get the point.
-
Hmm...
Sorry if this sounds a bit rude, but I want to be on the safe side here.
Would you mind posting step by step what you're doing, the results you get and the results you expect to get? I want to see if I can reproduce this.
-
Well... First off... I open up the forum home page. I'm logged in (as always) because I choose to log in forever.
Next, I try to read my unread replies, which changes my theme to the WaDF theme, instead of the Knytt theme like it's supposed to be. It says that it's April 19th, at 9:51 PM.
I try to go to one of these replies, which are replies to stuff as of the 19th, and the theme is switched back, the date is right, and all is well.
I try to go to my profile, and if I change anything, it says that my session has timed out. This happens everywhere. (including posting, editing a post, etc.)
I've tried to clear my cookies and temp internet files, but nothing changes. I'd expect a little change of some kind after logging out then back in... But still nothing. I'm on a school comp as of now, so that's how I keep posting, as I can't do diddly crap on my home computer.
Hope this helps in some way... BTW my comps specs are in the beta testing hardware thread, if you need that.

Okay, so you do not have this problem at your school computer, but you do have it at home?
If so, then there is something on your computer at home that is seriously messed up, and nothing on the forum (setting or anything) is in place that messes up your account.
If this is indeed the case, then please do the following:
1. log out of the forum, so you read as guest.
2. close the browser
3. reopen.
3. clear your cookies and temporary internet files and everything else you can think of.
4. close the browser again.
5. reboot your machine
6. start your browser
7. navigate here
8. log in manually (without any remember your password feature, as it may have something stored in this data that causes for this problem)
9. test and see if the problem still exists
10. report back here.

OK I don't know how or why, but the thing is COMPLETELY back to normal, as in no problems. I don't have any idea what it was, or why it happened, but I'm glad it's fixed. Hooray!
-
Glad to hear that! I love these self-fixing problems, even better when they happen in real life. :)
