Description:
TAG is a short, experimental 1st person shooter created by students of DigiPen Institute (just like the team who designed "Narbacular Drop", later hired by Valve to make "Portal"). Instead of using conventional weapons to battle enemies, you'll only be carrying a paint gun that you can use to spray paint of 3 different colors. Each color has a certain property that you can use to make your way towards the exit of the level. For example, if you spray green paint over the floor, you'll be able to bounce on it and reach high platforms.
It's a pretty short game, but it's fun and creative... and it's, of course, completely free :)

Not so.
The original Narbacular Drop team got hired by Valve. Nobody who originally worked on portal worked on this.

They just went to the same school...
This game was awesome! =)
I love the idea behind it. It's definitely different not being able to jump as easily as in other games.

Hmm, seems you're right, I didn't know the entire story. Also, my poor English writing skills made it extra difficult for me to explain it correctly :S It's fixed now.

This game may not have been made by the same people as Narbacular Drop or Portal, but I would like to point out that paint-based puzzle solving just like this has been revealed to be in Portal 2.

Played it now.
Its Awesome.

oh man guys it's working on linux for me this is great and stuff
this game is great you all should play it
i beat it it's short

Sweetness! Short but sweetness!
And the amazing thing is it doesn't run my processor hot. All games (even 2d simple games) make my processor get hot enough for the fan to speed up, but this one doesn't.

I should so mod this, import the .X meshes and change the textures!

sorry for the double post, but look

Portal 2 has the SAME game play mechanics as tag!
Now we can expect some awesome paint/portal gun combo puzzles!!
-
What? As far as I know, there won't be any paint gun in portal 2, just the paint itself.

Yes, but if we combine the portals. The paint gun isnt required. C)
I think VALVe knows from which institute get ideas from...

Sorry for the necro, but I finally got this running (had to get a new computer in order to do so, actually), and I actually played it through twice, just because it was so much fun. :^^:
The only bad thing is that I'm now even more anxious for Portal 2 to come out, something I didn't even think was possible.
