Put up the easy/normal/hard/very hard/lunatic/selectable difficulty etc sections again so people can actually post/repost their levels?

They're not gonna. But what you can do is, when you finish your preview level, say, "It's done, you can get it at Knytt Levels" and post it there and have people find it.

Indeed, you're not allowed to post a level that's already finished. But you are allowed to post a preview of a level, and then turn that into a regular level topic when it's done!
It's a completely ridiculous and absurd loophole! But it works!

There's a problem with putting it on Knyttlevels, though - knowing which version to download, and you can't get the author comments on Knyttlevels. Why aren't they going to reopen the forums?

That's why you put version numbers on them, like v1.2.1

What LpChip said (because I've already asked the question, worried about the new organisation)
First I'd like to congrat and thank LpChip, Paula, J and all other people that worked to set up a whole new forum. I guess that was a lot of work, and I'm happy seing the forum back :D .
But I'm not convinced with the new KS Third party level reorganisation. I guess the Knytt Stories Level Previews section will soon become a mess, as it presumably is the equivalent to the old "Preview/Showcase" section. Also, what made the Niff forum so popular was the ability of posting your own levels on it. I think that relegating this on knyttlevels.com, and as so making such a separation between Nifflas's work and people's work is a great mistake.
Most people won't understand why you have to go to 2 different websites, and this might discourage many.
Please understand one thing here... We didn't removed it from the forum because we don't want it here. We moved it to KnyttLevels.com with a new system, so it will actually become easy to search for levels and so. With a forum system I simply cannot add support for filters/rating/proper searching/grouping levels by member/etc.
It'll be for the best, really.
, all knytt levels are gonna be put on knyttlevels.com. There will be a level classification, and of what I've heard a poll for each level that will tell which is the most popular. The thing is, it's not ready yet, as J and other people are still working on it . We all hope that will be ready soon, but let we give them proper time to make things well.
Thanks to all of you working on knyttlevels by the way, that's really kind :D .

Ofcource you can't.
I've talked with Paula about putting up a temporary forum for posting levels until the knyttlevels.com is up. Although we both think its really pointless, we don't have a problem doing that. The only note here is, that when Knyttlevels.com is up, we will completelly remove that forum, including the comments.
You know what, I'll make a topic so people can vote for it.
