Yeah, I felt the need for one of theese again.

Anyway, here is my latest art piece:

Another failed attempt on a hand... brb
I made a mistake with the pointing finger and the proportion of the hand.
I have made perfectly accurate ones but with a ruler for measuring proportion ^^. btw I used a Hard 4H pencil.

Yeah, it's pretty good, seeing how many people do fail at hands. I, however, only semi-fail at hands. ;) Maybe I should get drawing again...

Thanks but I found mistakes and to me that's a problem.
Since body parts have to be accurate not adding details is deadly.

Depending on what you're doing, you don't have to be perfectly accurate as far as details go. XD

Well, it looks good, but it kinda needs...Hmmm....It needs something...I can just feel it...Hmmm...It needs more shading. But that's just my opinion. Other than that, it looks good. :3 And I especially like the way you did the cape, as if there was a breeze or something. Or it was just made funky. :P

And its suppose to have a creepy or out-of-place feel thats what i was working on. Because if i say you could meet this thing in real life (which pretty sure you can't  XD........... unless... :shifty:) it would freak you out a bit wouldn't it?  C)p

Balrog looks quite grumpy in the morning doesn't he?  XD
Anyway it was pencil, i drew it on paper, then scaned it onto computer, then with paint.net added the writing, then used the shapen effect and for the white noise i selected the screen and added white noise.....and voila! its a done.

One of my anime drawings, 100% photoshop. I didn't sketch it on paper cause I got a Wacom tablet for my brithday and I wanted to test it out.

i was inspired by resistance/borderlands actually (two great games in my opinion) but i suppose any alien type game can fit them X) the pixel art style is similar to iji i suppose :P2 i used not more than 3 shades for any of the colours

Well, me and a friend disagree about gimp vs photoshop, so I made this to show him the power of gimp!

Ill edit to tell you if I can ever convince him that gimp is not crap, but can actually be useful :D

As requested, here's something I made about a year ago. I thought I'd carve spoons and sell them at nearby craft fairs. This was my first test. It's made of pine and took me 6 hours to make. Even considering that I would get better with practice, I decided it took too long to be profitable.

Carving love spoons is a tradition from many European cultures. I'm mimicking the Welsh tradition here with symbology of love and growing love, indicated by the heart and the vine-like twist.

Edit: It's roughly 23cm or 9in in length

Ha! No, I started with a block of wood and cut the basic shape out with a saw. Then I chiseled, whittled, and sanded.

^: They overlap nicely, I'm assuming the top-most tile is the same tile as the right-most. Can I inquire what software you make/use these on?

Here's a sample of my isometric tile work. The trees are on a separate layer from the ground. The visual style is inspired by The Minish Cap. Graphics are drawn with Gimp and tested with Tiled. I don't expect any of this to make the final cut, the grass and dirt patterns need work, the tree tops lose the proper perspective. Never the less, I think I'm heading in a good direction. (Sorry for the low quality image. It's intentional.)

This place is nice. I think I'll enjoy frequenting here. Any way, this topic inspired me to share.

Here's something I did as a personal study on how shades effect the perceived image:

Those creatures are cat-watermelons. Officially called 'Billie-Melons' after my cat.

Here's a screen-shot to a spooky survival/horror game I was designing back in 2005-2007. I canned it because I wasn't of an adequate skill level at the time.

The purr isn't a purr at all. It's actually the sound of a large walnut rattling around their hollow insides.

They aren't very bright creatures, but we love them anyway.  <3
