Title: The official "render a spritesheet for me" thread
Post by: Nifflas on December 31, 2009, 05:21:47
Here you can post your Anime Studio Pro 5 files if you want me to render a sprite sheet out of them. Perhaps there's a small chance that the license doesn't permit me to do it, but personally think it's fair that I do it if other people use the ASP5 demo to create the characters, because at least it means more people will try out Anime Studio Pro and hopefully buy it. Note that I'm on ASP5, I wanted to render that santa Saira but couldn't open the file which was created in a later version.

If you want my help you must locate a demo of version 5!

I assume this service is only for Saira related sprites, right?

Will AS 5.6 files be compatible with ASP5? I can't seem to locate a ASP5 demo.

EDIT: Well anyway I made this since you didn't include the original in the file package :P

Could you render it as a spritesheet?

Here (http://www.ni2.se/temp/saira/Shawnachu_Bobo_Gameplay.png) is the sprite sheet. However, if you post more, please fit the character into the frame so I don't have to scale the character before I render it. There will be some graphical artifacts where the antialiasing occurs, to get rid of those you'd have to remove the existing "shapes" before you fill the areas with new ones. At the moment Saira's dark skin is underneath Bobo's bright one, causing the anti-aliased pixels to be darker as Saira's skin colour is seen through those.

Normally, the best way is to use the Select Shape tool (Q) and mark it, and then just select a new colour, instead of using the fill tool.

Thanks, the dark skin isn't really noticeable and it works fine :)

But that's strange... I don't see anything under the skin in the AS file.
