Title: How to make shiftsounds singular
Post by: Vinterrun on March 10, 2009, 19:19:08
Heja, I have a problem with the sounds of the shift-tool.
I want to create a "shift on touch" area. But if I stand on the shiftpoint the sound is repeating all the time. Do you know how to make this sound singular? Would be great  8D

The only reason that is happening I can think of is that the shift is not moving Juni anywhere. It would probably work fine if you made the shift go to a similar screen just above it and then put warps in it so you will warp back down when you leave.

Nope.  It will continue to play so long as she stands on it with player touch enabled.  So you'll have to do what Razzorman said.  :P

Or make the shift make no sound.

If you do that, though, you'd have to play around with flags, though. :/

Only if you only want the shift to happen once, but if going over the shift again is supposed to trigger the sound again.

Also "though" times two ^^

I believe you can change the sound of the shift itself but you can also make music playing when touching a shift.

Simply set the shift to no sound, and make it warp to an identical screen in the same spot. Change the background sound/ambience of that new screen and it'll start playing when you shift. :)
