I find the speedrunning sections very enjoyable.
Here are my best times:

Claymore checkpoints: 01:27.72 (Thanks for the hint, Niff ;))

Gass Umbra:
Level 1 - Gears: 00:13.46
Level 2 - Passage: 00:14.38
Level 3 - Simplicity: 00:15.65
Level 4 - Electric: 00:12.10
Level 5 - Underside: 00:31.57

What are yours? :)

(By the way, I always photograph my scores so I can have them at hand.)

Haven't run more than once on any of them but...

My times:

Claymore: 1.56.46

Gass Umbra:
Level 1: 00.19.20
Level 2: 00.18.93
Level 3: 00.17.88
Level 4: 00.13.10
Level 5: 00.39.35

I believe I had a rather untraditional (if you can say that about a newly released game) approach to using the flight in level 5. When I was suddenly falling I flew part of the way below obstacles and got on top again somewhere along the road.  :)

Note that I take advantage of everything I can. This includes powering myself up with the fly power and running to the challenge start point before it runs out to get a better start.

My times for Gass Umbra

Level 1: 15.67
Level 2: 16.46
Level 3: 17.65
Level 4: 14.36
Level 5: 35.20

I'm not redoing either Level 5 or Claymore, they're too hard for me.

I think the main thing is that I pick up the fly power before I start the challenge, so I can fly directly to the first checkpoint. I also use the fly power as much as I can during the entire challenge.

Just managed 00:29.26 on Gass Umbra Level 5, without Nifflas' technique of powering up before starting. Gonna try it now :).

Edit 1 :You can actually start Level 5 with fly powerup, by being already flying when you start the terminal, which is kinda easy. But then, I lack the controle to fly around the platforms. Seems like you can win a second with this technique.

On gass umbra, these are my highscores:

Gears: 15.05
Passage: 13.97
Simplicity: 15.26
Electric: 11.48
Underside: 35.05

On Claymore it´s 1.57.43. I´ve only made it one time, I only like short speedruns.

My best time on Claymore is 1:56.92. That was actually my score the first time I did it. I feel I'll be able to improve that score given practice, however. I did it a second time but actually did worse, finishing in a little over 2 minutes. I hardly used the flying power at all that time, however, which undoubtedly accounts for that.

I've not been to Gass Umbra, having not yet purchased the full version (something I intend to do ASAP!)

Claymore was probably my favorite planet in the demo. That music sends shivers down my spine every time.

EDIT: My time is a little better now, by just three seconds or so. I'm convinced I can do better... but I keep making silly mistakes like forgetting to go to one of the checkpoints, or failing utterly at using the flying goop.
