I just found these two videos!
Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYLoLB3Qymw) you can hear some comments about the artwork of the game, from this lady who's making concept art (I don't know what her name is According to her YouTube profile, her name is Charlotte, but she goes by the alias beomene) and here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFUVVo07GlA) she's actually drawing a (great) picture of Saira.

Fantastic find, Ponto! :D
I watched the videos and checked out her DA gallery. Being able to watch the creation process and hearing the artist talk about it 'live' makes the art more special. :-)
Interestingly, it seems like she's concerned about living up to Sara's artistic legacy. I don't think she needs to be, because both styles are great on their own. :)

I wish I understood more of what's going on on this forum.
As to the discussion about Steam, and protecting the game while not really wanting to limit its spreading etc...
But I'll leave that to you other guys who are skilled at... err... that kind of stuff.
Yes, when it comes to Saras legacy... I've met her and instantly liked both her and her style.
A couple of days ago I was still feeling that I wish I had more of her style in my hand, but, well, I don't.
And I shouldn't try to recreate what is her way to convey a message, that would be kind of... a theft.
So I try not to think about that, and just go for the John Bauer, art noveau feel that I think both I and Nifflas are comfortable with.
If you cheer me on like this I will try twice as hard, promise!
It's crazy how enormous effect encouragment has on me,
whenever Nifflas is positive or you people are positive
I just burst with energy.
I can't (but must) WAIT til you people are able to explore the game yourselves and can give me suggestions on what to draw!

Keep at it! Your YouTube video makes it seem as if you don't have as much confidence in your work as you should. The style is fantastic and rather than being concerned about following Sara's legacy, you should be proud that you are contributing to a new atmosphere.
Nifflas' games have given me a lot of inspiration through their atmosphere even back when I discovered him through WADF and it's the art style and music that evoke a kind of intrigue and does the inspiring. Your work has the same effect.

Myself, I like being called Charlotte or rather Lotta when talked/written to,
but I will always present my work as made by Beomene.
I alternate between calling Nifflas Nicklas or Nifflas when I see him in person,
but he doesn't seem to mind either way.
Hm. Never given that much thought.
Back on track-
Yes, I feel I would be proud to make a CD-cover for the kind of music you are able to make, D Fast.
I have not made CD-covers before, so please feel free to be very specific about what proportions you want your graphics done in. Ofcourse I'll do some research myself, must be a tutorial with the exact measurements somewhere...
...Hm, I would love to make a lot of images. Don't worry about be charging a lot,
I feel right now its more important that I try to produce a lot and get the hang of things,
rather than, eh, being expensive.
Perhaps there is some way we could make a small book, you know those that fit within the cd that usually have lyrics in them? A picture for each track?
I always need music when I draw.
When I draw for Nifflas, I listen to tracks from Saira (of course). I chose a single track and put it on repeat for hours on end, and I've realized my brain distressingly enough never gets tired of the same tune. (well... as long as its a stimulating melody)
So, I guess I could listen to your music while drawing,
send the image back and forth so that you can help me with instructions so that you feel the image is just what you want.
Buuut, ofcourse, not before the 12/12!
I'll let Nifflas show me more of your music tomorrow.

But I'm a little unsure of what I can show.
Usually I upload a video of what I've drawn right after I finish drawing,
but now that I draw not for myself but for Nifflas,
I don't feel I can expose everything just yet.
Will ask him tomorrow (in about nine hours) if I should start posting at least the beginning of my drawings,
I mean,
that should be ok. Perhaps.
And when I don't post drawideos (eh?) I try to compensate by talking.
Yeay! I was just told I'm cute in a non-scary way!

I need help.
Hm, it's not as serious as it sounds.

I am really just... tired and really bothered by everthing as well as nothing in particular.
No, it's not that time of the month, it's not that easy to explain.
I would appreciate some help with chosing which sketches to finish.
I can't really post things that are almost finished, which I think is really too bad...
But I mean, the really rough drafts should be ok to show,
so I'm thinking perhaps
you can tell me which you think are the best ideas?
I've tried all kinds of things to pick me out of the stupor,
but neither excericse, icecream or the good old slap in the face (and mandatory "SHAPE UP!" shriek) is cutting it for me.
I think I know what it is that is bothering me,
and I'm sure I'll be out of it before the weekend is over,
yes, hopefully back on track by then.

On my side, the only thing I can do is to tell you what are the feelings that your sketches transmit me. Maybe from my feelings and perspectives (and from the feelings and perspectives of others) you can get some inspiration to survive your block. Or maybe not, you just may need to step out of Saira a bit to see her from the outside, not to see her from the inside.
Your choice, we are here to help :) . Just tell us (if you want) where are those sketches.

There is a t-shirt planned,
but we are not sure yet.
Nifflas will have to think about it, I guess.
It -might- be a black t-shirt with the silhouette of a flying saucer, surrounded by twisting flames.
Difficult to explain. But it will be not absolutely -saira-, but rather a nice t-shirt that someone who hasn't even heard of Nifflas might want to wear. It is Sairas saucer though, ofcourse.
We will see if it is coming, I've sent him the graphic material at least.
