A few weeks ago it decided KS was a Trojan of some sort and wouldn't let me play it. (Then I submitted a false positive report and with the next virus database update it was okay again.)

Maybe some antiviruses scold programms, that send any data(i.e. best time) to net?

having no digital signature means that the program is not cryptographically secured by VeriSign or similar organization.
