This level was designed quickly, in a stream-of-consciousness fashion, while listening to a song my brother made called Hinterland (https://soundcloud.com/magnus-frangipani).
There's a little story in my head about what's going on, but it's quite vague, and left well open to interpretation.

There is one secret to find.
I liked it! I thought a couple of the beginning jumps were very frustrating
(especially before you get the run power-up)
and I couldn't get past
the room with the spires above the water
without looking at it in the editor. Still, a very nice little level!
Thank-you everyone for the praise! I do love how supportive this community is. C)
Apparently there was unintentional interpretation of my design! My intention was that the waves and the structures and the trees in the first half of the level were off in the distance... you're running around through a flooded, ancient area, the remnants of a once-great civilization, just barely staying above the water's edge, surrounded by flooded trees and buildings. I just played it again under the perception that you're underwater for this first bit, and it has a remarkably different feeling.
Of course you do go underwater in that bit when you fall through the spires and there's fish and bubbles and stuff. :)
Very short, but very enjoyable. You made very good use of the tilesets and the music to convey a great atmosphere! :) I especially liked the latter half of the level and the little puzzle just before that.
Some of the early jumps were a little too tight for my tastes, but never to the point of frustration.
Jumping over the wall in x1009y1003 was a little annoying, though. Since that part of the level is not really a challenge section, that obstacle feels a bit pointless. I think it'd be better to make it into a simple jump (or just turn the wall into background)
