A man dies of a self-inflicted knife wound to the chest. There were three people in the house at the time- the maid, the man's wife, and a visitor. Eyewitness reports say that the visitor entered the room 30 minutes before the body was found. The maid's cell phone was found on the table in at the murder scene. After an interrogation, all 3 were found to have motives. The visitor was a debt collector whom the man had owed a sum of money to. The maid and the wife were treated unfairly by the victim.

Who was the murder?

Ah, I didn't really expect someone to get it that quickly. Here's one that actually is a whodunnit... ;)

A man is murdered in his room. He had taken the blunt end of the pistol to the head. Three suspects A, B, and C were arrested and interrogated in a soundproof room. The policeman put the pistol in the center of a table and began interrogating the suspects.

A was the victim's butler. "Sure, the man and I had a few fights here and there, but I wouldn't bash his head in like that."
Suspect B was shaking. "I can't believe someone would kill him. He was so nice to me."
C was the victim's employee. "Wow. He really hated me, but I don't have a reason to kill him. I mean, why would I shoot the person that gave me money?"

Who killed the man?

The butler did it, as usual. I'm assuming the policeman told them the pistol was the murder weapon, but not the method. So the obvious line of thinking would be that the victim was shot. So how did the butler know the real method? But then maybe he found the body... Either I'm going at this the wrong way, or this riddle could stand to have a few more details.

Gorf nailed the reason. By placing the pistol on the table, the policeman implied that the man had been shot. Only the murderer would have know that he was hit in the head.

This one is pretty nice.

A man worked for a high-security institution, and one day he went in to work only to find that he could not log in to his computer terminal. He remembered that the passwords are reset every month for security purposes. So he went to his boss.
''Hey boss, my password is out of date.''
''Yes, that is right. The password is different, but if you listen carefully you should be able to figure out the new one: It has the same amount of letters as your old password, but only four of the letters are the same.''
''Thanks, boss!''
He went and correctly logged on into his station.

What is the new password? And what was the old one?

Hint: It is nine letters long. And a password doesn't have to be just a word.

Easy. The original password was "Out of date" and the new one was "Different".
