Hey guys!
It's been a while since I've been here.
I have recently started making games and I knew I had to share my humble creation with the Nifflas community!
So, here it is:
Maze: The Elephant Challenge is a desktop game for Linux, Mac and Windows which focuses on solving mazes. The goal of the game is to visit every place in the game, including a number of secret locations. The central piece of the game is a huge maze called Elephant which has to be solved in order to "beat the game".

To download, go to my site:

I hope someone finds this game to their liking!
Cheers!
Louigi Verona.
ps: I did not make it clear that if you press ESC, you save your progress and exit. To make things simpler I have also added an ability to save anytime in the game by pressing S. Re-download game from my site to get version 1.2.

Nice mazes. I'm currently at the entrance to the Elephant, but I think I've missed some areas in the southeast corner.

Fellas!
My site is down (bad timing, but this is the first time this happens to my hosting). I hope it will be back up soon, but meanwhile, here are the download links:

Thanks!
Well, you can always go back ;)
Plus, if you saw, there are some key combos to get you to some areas quickly.
-
I'm definitely not enough of a maze fan for this! Got really stuck and gave up.
Nice music, though! Your creation, I'm guessing? On the old forum, I think you posted some of your ambient/drone tracks... which I still have, by the way.

I saw a couple of them. I also left a warp not far from where I still need to go, so there's no problem (although I tried to 'undo' one of the warps once but it didn't seem to do anything; I'll try again after I've finished the game).
Nice music, though!
This game has music?! :ohnoes: Then it doesn't work for me. I'm running the game on a Linux distribution with Pulseaudio, so maybe that's the problem.
-
Yup, music is mine...
Pulseaudio, huh? I am also using Pulseaudio... Dunno how to help there at the moment. But if you try and don't get the sound even through ALSA, I will have to start looking into it.
-
Site is back up!
AA, any luck with sound?
-
Sorry, I haven't had any time to play the game, much less test it with ALSA. By the way, just in case, I'm using the Mageia distribution (development branch, but it's still pretty much like Mageia 2).
-
Well, do keep me updated.
Another suggestion: try Windows version through WINE %)
-
That's odd... Music doesn't work with ALSA either, but it does in the Windows version through Wine.
Very nice nusic, by the way.
-
Thanks, mate.
Well, I have no idea there. I am under Linux Ubuntu use PulseAudio and sound does wok. If you find out anything, do tell.
