There is one secret to find.

1. Shut off the flow.
2. Look for something out of place.
3. Notice the numbers.
4. Numbers = Symbols
5. The Volcano demands a virgin sacrifice.
6. Juni left the gas on her stove.
7. The security system is going crazy! [Secret is in this challenge.]
8. The screen wraps around.
9. Miss Pixel REALLY needs to go!
10. Notice the explosives on the side. Notice anything that might trigger those?

There is one secret to find.

1. Use the valve on the left side of the screen.
2. Use the rook in the middle of the board.
3. Enter the third portal.
4. Numbers = Symbols
5. Jump in the Volcano.
6. Turn off the flame.
7. Shut it off with the big red button.
8. The screen wraps around. Go to the left, past the dynamite, down to the plunger.
9. Get up to the toilet and use it.
10. Use the metal antenna on the left.

I seemed like in order to solve the puzzles I had to interact with things, but most of the things I interacted with immediately killed me.

 I nearly put a warning in the opening post saying: Prepare to die, a lot.

Having said that, dying a lot is part of the intended experience. That's why it uses the death mechanic of skipping levels you've already solved, and forcing the player to move on after every try.

The random deaths are inspired not just by the original McPixel, but also those old point-and-click Sierra games like Space Quest and Kings Quest. Some of those old games actually reward the player for finding new and interesting deaths with otherwise unreachable content and jokes.

As far as the original McPixel goes, it has this same revolving level mechanic but is much less fair with the solutions. Every solution in McPixel basically has you click something randomly and hope it works.

I tried to at least make each solution a LITTLE bit fair, the sort of thing that might be difficult to guess after one or two tries, but obvious in retrospect.

Feel free to look at the hints if you need them, or even the answers, that's why they're there.

If the concept's just not your thing, I respect that also. Very sorry if you dont enjoy it! And thanks for the feedback!

Ahh, I'm not actually familiar with McPixel.

I only played it briefly when I had a few minutes spare so maybe I didn't do it justice. I didn't give it time enough to realise the puzzles rotate back around; I got a bit frustrated with it before getting that far. I guess the issue was with my expectations. I've played similar fast-paced games but wasn't really prepared for it with KS, which usually lets the player set their pace.

It sounds like you've made a clever technical achievement with this, though. I'll try and do it justice when I have more time.

Loved McPixel and loved this.  I accidentally got some of them on the first try oops XD.

For people that haven't played McPixel the point is you have to find and defuse the bomb in time.

Played the level, was not too bad, though I personally don't like this kind of timed puzzle challenges.

In the Sacrifice puzzle, you can get out of bounds and access void screens. Not sure that is intended or not.

I see that now.

Yeah, you're not even supposed to keep the Double-Jump for that puzzle. I guess when one relies on 7 screens of shifts for every puzzle, things are bound to get too complicated to catch all the glitches.  :oops:

That was both very funny and impressive. You did a pretty good job mimicking the gameplay from McPixel in KS+! I miss the ability to kick anything in sight, though :P

Okay, so I played this level about a week ago, but I really enjoyed it! I got all the way to what I think is the ending, but I wasn't able to solve a couple of levels, so I may go back and try doing that. Overall, a nice experience!
