The contrast of styles and lack of shadows, to my eyes at least, makes the Bayleef look like a cardboard cut-out that's been glued to the drawing.  I think that the concept could work, but only with more...subtlety.

I agree with everything, but there is only so much I can do without entirely revamping the drawing.

I've been so busy and occupied lately.. But I've been playing Cave Story and I keep finding monsters that remind me of pokemon.
I couldn't resist..

Played through black and white (for sentimental reasons I couldn't avoid it) and fell in love with this guy, the :3 pokemon.
