Title: C++ programmer with some audio skills?
Post by: Nifflas on June 18, 2009, 02:40:54
Do you know how to create simple audio tools in C++? Do you write clean & commented code?

I need help with a little task, you'll get paid! Exactly what I need is secret for the moment, but let me know if you're interested! I'm up to something...

I know C++, but that doesn't mean that I like it. :P

Also, I have no experience whatsoever with any C++ audio libraries. :/

You should ask in the Clickteam forum.

Alas, I'm only about half-way through my C++ for Dummies book...

the giganto-mega desk reference? :P2
because that's what I have.

@Nifflas: I know C++, but I'm afraid I can't really do audio tools/libraries. sorry.

No, I don't believe it's the same one... It's more of a beginner's guide. :oops:
Gotta start somewhere, though!

What sort of audio tools? I have used C++ to output MIDI notes and with the FMOD audio playback library in the past.

Edit:
This is a little random, but I have been learning Swedish recently and there seems to be a lot of conflicting info on pronunciation.  Specifically, I have seen "jag" pronounced with or without the terminating G and "?r" pronounced with or without the R.  Is this a dialectical accent sort of thing? :)
Not just a little random, but completelly offtopic. If you haven't familiarised yourself with the Official Forum Rules, now might be a good time.

If it's urgent, pass...

But next year I'm taking a course in programming, and I have pretty solid knowledge in sound design and sound theory, so if you still need someone in a year's time (or sooner if I get through the basics fast enough) then I'll still be around.

Although, if you find a way of integrating PureData (http://puredata.info/ (http://puredata.info/)) to your project (it's open source, and I believe it's coded in C or C++) I can develop patches that you need.
