How do you get rid of the eagle thats been eating me? D:
Its impossible to get through with that eagle on my way. :(
-
You have to stay low to the ground.
(As I believe is pointed out by the level intro text)
-
Good luck with Doragon :shifty:
-
Aren't they detecting movement? So if you stay still they won't notice you?
-
The eagle is so mush easier than most think.
Stay on the left of each screen. Wait for the eagle to fly across right, then jump up to the plaform and across. Simple. :)
-
Good luck with Doragon :shifty:
and the underwater area

Anyway, it's all a matter of getting the timing down for when to jump... it's only, what, two or three screens? Whatever you do, stay low to the ground. Oh, and have fun with that water part!!! And, of course... Doragon
-
After I finally beat Doragon, he seemed easier than everyone said. *knock on wood*

I stayed up untill 4 in the morning to try to beat the dragon thingy.
And I got past the eagle by accident by just randomly bouncing around :O

I use the computer every 4 hours, for 24 hours.

How does he sleep? D:

Let's try to keep this on topic, could we? :)
The only way to avoid the gryphon in the Gryphon Forest is to stay low. As said in the thread a few times.
Bit of a fun fact though: She's not exactly an eagle, she's a gryphon. As said in the starting text of the level: "Amoryllis is a tiny white bird, not some huge falcon like creature, which she was supposed to be, if the creator of this game wasn't so lazy." :P

Also note, the order of which you do the bosses also changes the skills for such boss. If you do a hard boss first, it'll be easier. If you do that same boss as last boss, it'll be alot harder.

Really??? I've played through it several times in different orders, and I have never noticed such a thing... how exactly do they become harder?
-
So which is the hardest boss without the difficulty change thing.

I have no clue, as I suck badly in ModArchive Story. Can't even finish the first world, let alone finish a boss. But it has been mentioned a couple of times on the old forum.
-
Must have been on the old old forum, because I don't remember hearing about that :O
-
That sound really weird.
-
Can't find the mention of it. I did read something along like: I played the other levels first, so my ball control was better. Perhaps, I misread here...
-
On beating the teapot (first boss I beat):
[19:36:55] * ChanServ sets mode +v Dataflashsabot
[19:37:04] <Dataflashsabot> I BEAT THAT STUPID FUCKING TEAPOT YYYYYYEEEESSS
[19:37:47] <Dataflashsabot> in other news, hai
On beating the whole thing:
[16:05:23] <Dataflashsabot> I DID IT
[16:05:27] <Dataflashsabot> I BEAT MODARCHIVE
[16:05:28] <Dataflashsabot> YYAYAYAYAYA
Good times. (Though it was actually quite recently :P) And Doragon was hardest for me.
This 'adaptive difficulty' thing is interesting... Doragon was my last boss, would he have been easier if I'd beat him first?
-
If its true, then yes, he would be easier if you've beaten him first.
-
Strange, I had never heard of that, either. :)
Then, I suppose that the difficulty is maximum when you have beaten the game and just replay th levels.
I may test this someday when I have the time. :P
-
I'm just having issues trying to imagine exactly how they are harder... every time I play through, the bosses all seem just as easy as the last time, regardless of the order I take...
-
Ok, I must be mistaken then. Forget what I said.
Nifflas, if you read this, please shed some light on this issue. X)
-
Sorry, I have no information that the bosses get different difficulties depending on completition order either :/
You didn't need my help to find out though, there is "Settings.ini" :)
-
man, i beaten doragon last, and i see no diffrence from beating him as the second boss.

Actually, that was just a way of saying that I didn't add that to the game.
