i need help making a custom object of deadly black rain that kills you. but when i place it in nothing happens! help!
-
You cannot currently make deadly- or even solid- custom objects. You can approximate this using invisible kill tiles, but for rain this probably would be no good. I assume this is the problem you're having? It shows up in the game, but cannot kill the player?
-
so then what custom objects can you make?
-
Only decoration stuff so far.

Custom objects are still useful: They can animate (and thus, move around) and can be in front of Juni.
-
just color the blue rain from the default bank black , and animate it :D

But it won't kill. That's the problem we're having.

You could make an exact replica of the default deadly rain and put it on a layer over it, in order to mask it. However, doing it without the deadly rain animation data would be insane, if at all possible (maybe speed and/or starting frame are random, making it impossible to sync), and you'd be limited by the original.
I'm probably overthinking this, but I wanted to write something. X)

there is no deadly rain object? Or am I badly mistaken?

I think AA is talking about the ghost object that when one of the water drops hit Juni she dies.

i made a little test, maybe like this?
make a custom object single tile, and make the whole thing like R-1 B-000 G-000 and then set it on layer 7, put the ghost dripper behind it.
-
That actually works very nicely :) I might want to use that for a level of mine

i had another idea using like a cover layer for custom objects. its just this one little screen, maybe someone can take it further.
