[Challenge][Very Hard] Dark Sea 2 Beta

Oh NSF, I seem to forget you exist oh so often. I know for sure my KS Level-creating days are over, unless a rushing KS renaissance takes this place by storm. But, nonetheless, I'd rather not hold out some playable quality content for the few people around to enjoy.



Dark Sea 2 was my ambitious sequel to my popular level, Dark Sea. It revolved around navigating the gigantic sub, the Archetype 1, and worming your way into the evil underwater base of Professor Subtle or whatever his name was. This was one of my most high-graphics levels, with some creative narrative/atmospheric touches thrown in that would have really made this a gem of a level if it was seen to completion. Unfortunately, my time's devoted to more valuable projects, but I won't turn a blind eye to this forum if any of those come to real fruition. It's not to say that there isn't a decent amount of content here, it probably stacks up enough to make up a shortish-mediumish level, although it lacks some polish as far as difficulty balance goes.

Very Lunatic: Safety 1, 2, and 3.
Misc: AdvancedAmidst the Clouds, Candy Town.

That's a great level, too bad it ended. The difficulty seems pretty balanced to me. I really like how some challenges require some thought to find the solution.

Beautiful level, sad that I can't get too far.. I've only gotten to your top-right screenshot there.
I loved the challenge when you turned on the alarm in the beginning! VERY well designed :)

Fantastic visuals. You have a knack for flat-ish levels, little to no distant objects. The gameplay was interesting too.

Very, very good, as ever. It's a shame this'll never be finished.
Though saying that, I did give up on one obstacle that was just too hard, but it was the very last obstacle of the demo, so I got more or less the whole experience either way.

This is a great level. Good difficulty challenge.
It would be a waste if this is discontinued in my view because the original dark sea was a great level.

It doesn't require skill, there is a way... Try to find it yourself.

So I guess I'm still working on this, quite sparingly though. Perhaps there will be another update in the future.

Once again Glitch, your levels kick my arse.  There was only one room I got stuck on and had to use the editor to pass it. That one in the top right hand corner of your screenshots.  I love the second to last room, might try to implement something like that into one of my levels in the future.

I hold to it that anyone who can't beat that room in the top right screenshot is just doing it very wrong. My beta tester also ranted about that one being really hard and I tell him it's really not bad.

NVM this message - I found out the answer myself.

Well, might as well do something useful about it:
I really liked the security mode that activates those sentries. Having to rush all the way back to the cockpit? just to turn off that nasty system was really clever :)

I noticed that inspired you in your collaborative thread. All that makes it work is just a few frames of the same text, a few frames of it fading, and having it not loop. Plus a warp so the text doesn't come back.
