Title: My awesmoe "game" (and other, more awesmoe) music.
Post by: googoogjoob on June 22, 2009, 23:41:52
This (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=71250) is a bunch of "game" music I have made. It is crap awesmoe.

This (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=70049) is twelve-tone "game" music, which exists because it can.

Incidentally I do not typically like real game music.

This (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=71558) I think is neat but it's not "game" music so now the title of the topic is wrong. Oh well. No I edited the title.

EDIT: A compilation of awesmoe stuff that I've posted in this thread.

This other thing (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=72953), which uses some of Nifflas's samples.

Quasiauthentic 8-bit music (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=73137).

Fun stuff (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=73537).

The Wedding Dress Song (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=76436). (An arrangement of a traditional folk song.)

Fraudulent ambient music (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=77151).

dealy5 (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=77595).

Fraudulent exotica. (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=77752)

I don't even know. (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=79908)

Another. (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=81069)

A fiddle solo. (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=82187)

(OLD THINGS)

Jel (http://www.mediafire.com/?mng4guykoka).

154 (http://www.mediafire.com/?gqwctd3yydt).

I like it

Since it sounds like something that you would create. :)
^ In a good way.

Know what I mean?

Nice. Are these in any games?

i think the quotation marks answer that.

Actually it's in quotes because the basis for this music is quasi-satirical. (That is, there is lots of mediocre game music out there, and I made some of these because of how easy it is.) (The rest [the ones without names which are a single number] are pastiches of music from Starfy games. I made it because of a discussion in #niffchat. 9_9)

Also: no, these aren't in any games, nor do I plan to use them in any games/levels I myself make. However, anyone who would like to is free to make use of (or mess with/remix and then make use of) any or all of this music in their game/level/whatever as long as I am credited. (And by "remix" I mean potentially actually remix it not just fiddle with it. I'd be willing to give anyone the .it files for any of the "game" music if they were to PM me asking nicely and telling me what they'd want to do with it.)

Also again: I made this new thing (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=71558). It's not game music (or "game" music) at all, but I like it very much and so am posting it here. (And editing the OP to include a link to it.)

That one's better than the first ones, IMHO. (http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/6a40278399.gif)

YAY! staRRRfy not staFFFFy

I was going to ask about it since the name of the files have a striking resemblance to the name of the game StaRfy.

New music. (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=72953)

It is different from the other music. (Also: it uses a handful of samples from Nifflas's sample pack dealy [THIS IS A CREDIT]. All the others are just MIDI.)

More (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=73137). (I can has FamiTracker, so this is considerably more "authentic" "game" music than the phony stuff in the OP.)

I arranged the Wedding Dress Song, daddio (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=76436).

(Did not write it. It is a traditional Appalachian folk song.)

As someone who is in no way intimate with googoogjoob--or even vaguely acquainted with, I must say this is amongst the best music I have ever heard.

New thing (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=77595).

Also, links to old awesmoe things that haven't been posted here.

Jel (http://www.mediafire.com/?mng4guykoka).

154 (http://www.mediafire.com/?gqwctd3yydt).

The new thing and 154 are guitar solos. Jel is a thing.

EDIT: More new stuff. FRAUDULENT EXOTICA (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=77752)

This (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=79908) is reasonably different compared to anything else I have posted here. It is very weird. I like it.

Samples by Well.

Wow. Near to the middle it sounded like there was this guy pounding the lower end of a piano in the back ground, and then, the song almost ended but started up again. And then at the end it was like tring to end but couldn't. Wow. X) :D

8-bit. (http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=83386)

Just six seconds, though. Should I continue 8-bitting like this or could this be better?

This stuff is ridiculously easy to churn out.

It sounds like there are a lot of notes that are off scale, and not pitched high/low enough. It bugs me.
