Hello!

I've always wanted to create big, totally custom level, which could be compared to Nifflas' Strange Dream. I've started this project long time ago, before the forum crashed. I lost my interest to Nifflas' games, as well to this project. I've bought new HD also, so I lost all of the progress made, only one tileset survived. I came back to forum and I want to re-start my project.

It will be big challenge level, probably with some puzzles. I haven't thought about plot yet. I want to make at least 10-12 custom tilesets. BGs, some COs and music will be custom also.

I will be happy to hear any feedback from you :)

I agree with farik. The trees in the first screenie have a sort of.. patchy(?) feel to them.

Hm, you are right. I will try to upgrade this tileset.

In fact I am satisfied only with the 1st tileset - it's good looking in my opinion (Yes, I am very humble ;))

This looks great! I want to make a level with my own tilesets too, but you make way better ones then me. The first tileset is both Nifflas style and Nifflas quality. The leaves in the second screen do look spiky, but I thought they were supposed to be like that. I like them. And they're custom objects! C)p

Really...I loved that level. :3 And I love the tileset he used, though the pointy outline could use some un-pointy-ing. :P

I want to add something unique to RedWood tileset, and I am wondering if it's possible: I want to block somehow animated Knytt, but let Juno go. 1px high block doesn't help.

Object which act like a house, with transparent window. A knytt inside this house. Juni who is able to run in front of the house.

That's how I wanted to do that:

0 layer: inside of the house (wallpaper, or something)
3 layer: 1px high blockade, which should stop the Knytt, but not Juni
4 layer: Knytt
5 layer: CO house

2 px? 3 px? 1 px doesn't work if the animation sequence interferes. Another thing to try is the KSA object. *wink*

Yeah, KSA would be a good alternative for that, or simply make a CO Knytt that walks back and forth like you want. You can make it big enough and animate it enough to destroy any repetitive look. That's what I do with my custom Knytts.

I thought that I will be able to get what I want without making CO Knytt. I will try with 2px or 3px, but I am afraid that this will stop Juni too.

KSA is great invention, but I wanted to make level avaliable for everyone

2 px is Juni's highest up-step, but I still recommend the KSA object.

As I said before, KSA's got great potential, but I want this level be avaliable for those who don't want / can't install KSA.

By the way, I've completed all tiles in RedWood tileset. There's a preview under, a little overfilled, but I wanted to use all of the tiles.

Lovely screen. However, the waterfall looks odd as it seems to be coming from the background but goes over the foreground.

The problem is when an animation places a stray pixel on the ground. Object wallswim.

The default objects don't have any stray pixels do they? 1Pix seems fine to me, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, when a pixel strays off into the layer three tiles.
