I wonder if nifflas have the plan of working on some levels of knytt stories,
or new version :)
There are many awesome levels made by the guys in the forum. C)
But if nifflas have the plan to make some level or new version of knytt stories, there will be exciting and fatastic :^^:

The only thing we know is that he started a project for an entirelly new game that has a bird. More information than that is not released and most likelly will not be either.
-
I heard, that there won't be any new versions of KS anymore.
-
And I think he mentioned he wouldn't work on more knytt stories levels either.

Not quite, he stated that when someone created a Movement Engine for the Custom Object support that was coded cleanly, worked efficiently, and he liked, he would releases a new version of KS with programmable Custom Objects, so they will work like normal objects.

Let that day be soon!!!

When I asked a few days after releasing new version about programable COs, someone (I believe it was LPChip) told that there won't be any :(
-
It wasn't me who said that, but I do believe Nifflas isn't going to do much programming to KS anymore. But the source has been reveiled, so its not a problem to get things in the programming. See Knytt Stories Advanced as example.
-
No more ks....
-
it is sad to hear that :(
but hope there will be something new in future~ ;)

That's exactly what he said. He said he wasn't working on it, but since the source was out, when someone made a proper engine he would just release a new version with the new CO engine.

yeah, I wish that nifflas would be continuing on knytt stories(or at least make more levels), but i think he's busy enough with the bird game :shifty:...
-
If I knew more about programming and had MMF2, I'd do it... but I can't, so I hope someone else does...

I don't have MMF2 and I don't think Paula does either.

:sigh: ... maybe for KSA, then?
-
IMO, I think Knytt stories is getting old. The whole forum now revolves around Knytt levels and such.
I'm getting tired of it though

Yeah... Bloxmaster should give it a go. It seems like I remember... Kasran, weren't you doing something along the lines of making an engine? It seems to me you mentioned it...

I could try to make a (mostly) dynamic customizable object movement, but I dunno how well I could make it.
-
Customizable how? Lua scripting or the like, or... what?
EDIT: Also, Solid and/or Deadly options are a must :3

Solid moving objects would be totally broken.
-
Plenty of other games sure manage it.
-
Moving solid objects is just asking for wallswims, unfortunately.
-
But deadly objects would be a +++++++++++++++++++++++++
Finally, bosses could be made much easier!

Wy dont you just want to make your own game? o:<
It will take a while for ks to turn to a multiplayer platformer :3

And it probably takes longer before you start to read and write properly.
-
He may have writing difficulties, but Evil has a point- I guess by the time you start adding programmable objects and bosses and such, it's probably a good idea to just make your own game. With Construct and GM and MMF and such, it's not all that hard.
Deadly COs would be awesome though :P
-
I don't have writing difficulties >(
I can write perfectly, when I want to. U_U
-
Well, sorry. But to be frank, looking at your other posts I don't know what we were supposed to assume.

That was my point too.
If you can Evil, why are you neglecting it?

I dont know I rush sometimes. =\

And I get annoyed by that. If you could try, it would help alot.
But lets get back on topic, shall we? :)

With him being a game designer and all, and also the fact that he said that he would (http://nifflas.ni2.se/forum/index.php?topic=97.msg526#msg526), it's rather reasonable to come to that conclusion...
