I happen to check on the videos today, and they now have that little music field under the description filled out, identifying the music in the video as songs from Speak. Although why Sony claims the copyright and blocked it in Germany, I have no idea.

Is there anything I can do then to help out? Apparantly I must send them a physical letter to fix this.

I can hear sound, is it just parts that are muted? Also, could it be the ship radio that's causing problems? Perhaps Sony owns any rights to Speak's music on the ship radio, but I kind of doubt that.

I have not watched the entirety if the videos, but I don't believe any sections have been muted.

On a note, on occasions while recording, a family member elsewhere in the house is listening to a radio. I made sure when recording that it was not picked up, and I have listened to the videos at max volume during quiet sections and could not hear the music. I doubt something that quiet could trigger anything like that.

Edit- No one else was home when recording part 16.

Here is exactly what the notice currently says:

I guess I can live with it as long as they don't mute my videos.

I'd still like to know why though.

All three videos were flagged as containing music copyrighted by Sony. I filed a dispute for all three, and now all three say "All content owners have reviewed your video and confirmed their claims to some or all of its content".

I dunno.

Help! I'm Stuck! / Re: How to save game on differen slots ?
« on: February 12, 2010, 23:00:33 »
Find your 'settings' folder. If you are playing the portable version, its in your 'Saira' folder.

Inside you will see:

Settings\Savegames\Nifflas - 000 - Teleporters

Then you will see up to three folders:

Slot 1
Slot 2
Slot 3

Rename and copy them as needed.

What the green unicorn droppings is going on... my Part 1 and Part 16 both also just triggered the SAME COPYRIGHT. And now I get internal server errors when I try to file the dispute.

I'm thinking they have a system that automatically scans uploads for certain songs and flags them, and my video was misidentified.

Strange, my recording of Ashoun has triggered Youtube's 'Third party copyright material' notice. "Content owner:  Sony Music Entertainment Type:  Audio content". I submitted a dispute, of course.

(video is private atm, I don't make my videos public until the HQ version is available)

Saira Level Editing Support / MMF2, Puzzlers, and Lua Script (Idea)
« on: February 04, 2010, 02:01:17 »
So I have developed an untested theory that might allow us to make puzzles/devices without MMF. There is an add on for MMF2 that allows Lua Scripts to be opened and executed. More info here and a download here.

Now, here is my idea: Someone creates a Puzzler app that gets all of its info, such as initial object set up and sprite/sound paths, from an ini file. It then loads an external Lua script (that we can edit) containing some common functions like init() and update().

So instead of us having to use MMF2 to create our puzzles, we can use this special Puzzler and set up inis and Lua Scripts instead.

This is just a theory, of course.
