I'm playing this now!
I just got to one of the first main story points... :whoa:
EDIT: Just finished it!
• LOVED the story! Minimal but compelling. Heartwarming at the beginning, before becoming macabre... and finally ending on a note of horror.
• LOVED the art! Great use of custom objects and custom enemies! I think my favorite was the spiders... a great way to make sense of what used to be a somewhat abstract enemy.
• Fun puzzle elements!
• Though the challenges are difficult, they are very unique! There were a number of jumps and challenges I hadn't seen used before.
• Void reachable at x1009y1011
• Maybe a little bit too difficult. Some jumps and enemies felt out of place, and a little random, which can feel frustrating and unfair. I would say this is solidly VERY HARD and may even venture into LUNATIC in some areas.

The use of COs is great. It did cause me to die at x1006y1004 though, because the toast looks just like a normal one. However, having it look the same makes it cooler when you first encountered it a few screens before, so I guess it's better kept this way, maybe adding a save spot on the screen where I died.
Lacking save spots at the beginning of screens: x1002y1003, x1017y1008, x1015y1008.
x1025y1004 lacks a save spot too, but it can't be added without changing layout - I saved in the air after the 1st triangle jump, before the 2nd one that ncrecc mentioned.
x1016y1012 - here I thought about saving at x9y1, but instead decided to remove the flower in the editor and (eventually) get by without saving mid-way. The flower just makes the challenge "messy".
At x1005y1000 there's the same problem with the unneeded green spiky creature - it's not challenging, but forces you to Ctrl+R if it goes right instead of left.
It's often unclear what surfaces can't be climbed. E.g. all the little squares that have moss only on one side, but can't be climbed from all sides (at x1016y1012 and such).
x1002y1000 - I thought taking away the mushrooms would prevent the toast from growing or something like that and you'd be able to take the 7th golden creature at x1002y1004, but sadly the mushrooms aren't used at all.
The segment at x1008y1012 and x1009y1012 doesn't match the original one, having less no-climb places etc.
@everyone In terms of game mechanics, what are some of your favorite things to see? I know some people hate the dialogue/story of my levels, so I'm curious what your favorite aspects are, and what I should do more of? And less of?
More save spots, less randomized enemies (specifically those that act more as distractions during other challenges rather than the challenge itself). You're really nailing it, great levels!
