Well, I made this topic because... um... I was curious. X) Tell which game you like more, and why do you like it more. My favorite was Knytt, and that's because it was just exploration and there were not as much enemies like on KS.

I like Knytt Stories more, because of the level editor, really. It allows you to go beyond what Knytt is.
But Knytt has a unique gameplay on its own that cannot be recreated by Knytt, so its a close call.

Well, yes, the level editor in KS made KS great too.

without the level editor I'd say knytt. if it were just knytt against the machine and the other nifflas levels. It's a very special game with a very unique atmosphere and playing experience, I've felt the nifflas ks levels (or any other levels) didn't have any of that.
But I wouldn't even be a member if it weren't for the editor or still hang around. ks is the community, more or less.

I think a KS level is capable of being better than Knytt, but I have not played one that is.

I never much cared for Knytt, honestly, so Knytt Stories.

Knytt Stories; it's like this awesome television series that never ends, even though it has some rather half-assed episodes, the over-all quality is high and the possibilities of variety and self-implementation makes it a better game to me. And anyways I prefer many of the Ks level over the one "Knytt level", so to say.
Knytt is like a good movie. It's a good game, but nothing more than one good story.
Of course, both are mandatory if you like these kind of games...

Knytt is boring. I liked it, but not much. Even The Machine alone is better.

Exactly how I feel. Knytt isn't a bad game (it's actually very good) but it's just like a good environmental KS level. Like GrayFace, I'd choose The Machine or A Strange Dream (or even Gustav's Daughter or Sky Flower) on it's own over Knytt, let alone all the great usermade levels.

I prefer Knytt over any KS level, but I love the KS editor.
I think I played Knytt for the first time when I was discovering indie gaming, and it just felt so refreshing and calming that it changed the way I saw games from that point on, I had never played anything like that before. And KS was my introduction to any sort of level design, so both of the games mean a lot to me :)

Knytt for me is a memory of early childhood. Every time I play it, I've got a very melancholic feeling, especialy about the music. Knytt stories is nice, but not so dreamy and magical.
