Of course, one thing that you need to remember is that something like this will never be able to compare to an isometric pixel art building done by hand by someone good.So true.
Version 1.1 is here! :D I'll put it up on the first post as soon as I can; the MySQL server is messing up or something and not letting me edit my posts. <_<whats the difference between version 1 and 1.1

Here, I'll put a changelog up on the front post. That'll probably help avoid this in the future.Version 1.1 is here! :D I'll put it up on the first post as soon as I can; the MySQL server is messing up or something and not letting me edit my posts. <_<whats the difference between version 1 and 1.1

Also, a great idea it will be a onionscreen mode, you know, something like thisThat's a great idea! Unfortunately, with the semitransparent blocks I just introduced (v1.1), things would get weird. I might still be able to make it work, though.
Layer4 ... ... ...
Layer3 <> <> <>
Layer2 [ ] [ ] [ ]
Layer1 <> <> <>
[ ] Visible blocks
<> Traslucent blocks
... Invisible blocks
How does the onionscreen mode work?Let's say you're at height level 5. You'll be able to see height levels 1-4, and if there's anything at height level 6, it will show up as semitransparent. It's currently always on; hopefully the next update will feature an options menu. :)
im using Ubuntu, and can open it under wine and it works, partially.Yeah, that's GameMaker's fault (the program I used to make this). When you don't use it on Windows, it starts having seizures. :/
the inside of the window is just black.
i can open the help menu.
so it seems that it dosen't work on ubuntu even when using wine. :sigh:
after rebooting to windows <_< i used it. Good work!!! C)pI'll have fixed that in the next version. ;) And thanks! :D
but.... why can you make "blocks" under the menu?
good work!
if gamemaker allows it, a VERY cool feature would be for the output to be a 3d file.I think that GameMaker can actually do that...but only for actual 3D models, unfortunately. My program makes 2.5D isometric buildings, but they're not actually 3D models. :( There are freeware programs for building 3D houses, though.
If so you could make a building and export it to blender :whoa:
well just a suggestion.
anyway, keep up the good work!
