I thought I might as well post this on the new forum.
Some number of months back I spent some smaller number of months making a map of Knytt in MSPaint using single pixels to represent each tile. It was fun and probably completely pointless! Though I like it a lot.
Black is ground, grey is clouds, brown is secret passages, light green is items, and everything else is water, lava, etc.
The fruits of my labor are attached.
[mod]It still is a spoiler, so added that in the title[/mod]

I like it... simple
but its so small :( i cant see much XD

Tap tap. Where's the tutorial?
-
Haha, I think I can see the tutorial on there. :O
No, wait. Never mind!
-
Tap tap. Where's the tutorial?
Geez, yeah. The tuturial area is so big, and you can get lost there that easilly... Yeah, we need a map of that <_<
-
I consider the tutorial separate from the rest of the world. It's not really part of the actual game, just something you go through beforehand.

Well, it's not like this is anything comparable to a walkthrough.

It isn't. Its only a map. A walkthrough has detailed information about the route to take, and solutions on how to get past certain puzzles/obstacles. A walkthrough is a written instruction manual on how to beat the game. My point is, that the tutorial, even while it already is very straight forward, its so tiny (6 screens) that its not really necessary to make a map out of it. By your kind of cynical question for such map, I felt compelled to respond like this.

*looks up cynical*
Oh... sorry... just ignore me.

By the way, there's also a map at The Cheese in the Sky (http://niffpage.greywool.com/files/Maps/Knytt/)

That's a full-sized one. In this, each pixel is a tile, so it's about 1/24th the size of the actual map.

Moar like 1/576th. Tiles are square.
-
Oh yeah. XD
My bad. Yeah, 1/576th the size.
-
But 1/24 in scale.
-
And now we can debate wether it's good or bad, that it's 24 times larger X)
-
It's great, interesting idea for 1 pixel representing 1 screen as well. I wish I'd had this before I completed the game, haha.

One square.

I like this map, too. I only think it's missing the teleporters. (And eventually the locations of the UFO pieces.)
-
I actually have the UFO parts on there, they're just a light green that's hard to see. Also, I considered adding the teleports, but... I encountered some sort of promblem with that. I don't remember if it was not knowing where they were or what, but yeah. I might try to add them later, though.
-
Nice map. Must have taken a long time to make that.
-
I like it. I would never have the dedication necessary to make such a thing.
-
very nice and i'm sure quite useful
i'm a bit of a cheater so i wish i had had this at my disposal when i first played knytt lolz i managed tho
-
Cool map, but could you make it longer?

What do you mean by making it longer?
The map is from the game Knytt, which was made by Nifflas. He cannot extend the map by drawing new things on it, if thats what you mean. If you're simply after a bigger version, you should check this fullsized map (Warning, big spoiler!!!) (http://niffpage.greywool.com/files/Maps/Knytt/Knytt.png).

It must took a very lot of time. IT IS AWESOME. And very useful (secret ways, you know..).
