Knytt Stories Level Releases / Re: [Community] Nifftown re-post!

I do remember your level, it had a secret with a key..... (I think it was blue...)

It was either blue or red.

Say, is this the updated version with custom object and everything in it? Because I have one where I remade my area to have those.

I remember this. If I'm right, my house is a bit... odd. Ah well, what do you expect out of a guy called The king of Umbrellas?

I for one prefer English over my native language, but hey.

I've listened to a lot of songs I haven't understood a word of, and some of them are up on my top 10 list. So it doesn't always have to matter.

None-the-less, I believe this is a bit off-topic.

Hmm. Rudeness. It seems even here it cannot be avoided

Anyway, you bring up a lot of valid points, Hempuli. Why do so many call their art style Manga? And for that matter, what exactly is Manga? In Japan, it simply means comic, or something along those lines. Even Donald Duck is considered Manga there.
In the west, however, Manga is associated with the art style that we see in comics or cartoons originally from Japan. Sadly, we also take that to mean big eyes, no nose and really, really spiky hair, even though that's does not all properly describe many of the works within the term Manga.
Truth is, the western term manga applies to a very broad scene of sub-styles, so to speak. It's like how two bands can be labelled under the same musical genre, yet still sound vastly different.
And then there's personal thoughts on the matter. I, for one, do not consider this latest piece of mine ( :P ) manga, even though I do consider most of my work fitting under that category. I do however figure, that some people would think of it as manga, even if I don't.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, so what if some people draw so called "manga"? Maybe that is their personal style. As long as they enjoy doing it, and are not obviously ripping off someone else work, there's no harm done.

Dude, the intro included someone wiping a big paintbrush over a flat piece of something in the middle of space, and then when that didn't turn out good, he simply flipped the same piece of something over and did it again. You really expected it to be serious?

Wow... When I left this forum to take care of my own role playing forum, I was pretty much convinced this would never become a reality. But it seems, lucky as I am, I was wrong. Awesmoe.

I just played some with my friend. We ran around in The Machine and I watched him die a lot. It was fun.

I experienced some lag, like, his Juni wasn't animated, and moved around rather oddly. Like, when he moved to the right, he didn't go right in one fluent movement, rather he kind of moved a certain distance in several goes.

It was cool none the less.

And now I'm going to bring up some of my ideas.

Events
Pretty self-explanatory, no?
A group of players gather in a, preferably large level, and then play around.
One game that would both work well and be fun is Hide and Seek. And with custom objects that can overlap things, the It would have to be close enough to see the other players screen-name to find them. Sounds like fun, no?

My second idea is based on another idea from this forum.

Nifftown, Online.

Imagine how AWESMOE that would be! No longer would you have to be represented by an NPC that says the same thing over and over again, but you could actually BE in your house! You could even throw a party for all of your neighbours!

And also, I was just wondering if it would be possible to make it so you could appear as other things than Juni? I remember there used to be an old mod where you could play as the Knytt... Would it be possible to incorporate into this?

Well, it does feel liek a bit more chaotic and creepy Skyflower... Not sure I like it, but I don't think I DON'T like it, if that makes sense :P.

One problem though. If You don't pick up the eye, and then save on tho last savespot as you fall, you're stuck in an endless loop of falling to your doom.

Let's play Insurance. This is an odd level.
Part 1 (YouTube)

Oookaaay... I thougth it started out quite good, but I had to stop half way through becuase most of it was just swears, and that doesn't entertain me at all. At. All. I can enjoy a few swears here and there, thrown in becuase of extreme frustration, but when it seems your vocabular consists of only f*ck, p*ss and sh*t, then it's just... crude and annoying.

I hope you'll be able to cut down on the swearing, becuase you have potential. But as you are now, I can't even bring myself to finnish your LP.

This is amazing. I've just started listening, but I already like it a lot.

What did you guys use too make these?
I'm useless when it comes to creating songs, as I can't get all the melody's and beats into my head. Whenever I listen to a song, I get a clear image of that song... But I can't make one. I'm a drawer
Spoiler: (click to show/hide)
, not a composer, I guess :P
Still it would be fun to know.
