Okay, I played your level just now. I liked the custom graphics and the overall theme of it :) Also, the first part of the game has a very well balanced difficulty (it gets harder progressively, but stays consistent). The second part is a mixed bag for me. It has some clever puzzles, but there are screens that are WAY harder than the rest, especially...
...the one with the ghost that charges at you and the button that you have to press for five seconds. Even when I figured how to do it without dying, it was really tiresome having to repeat the process over and over and over again :/ I would, at least, extend the distance a bit more to give the player a little more time to press the button, so you don't have to repeat this process so many times.
I also have another big complaint:
Man, you went WAY WAY OVERBOARD with that final boss :S That alone makes this level of Lunatic difficulty (at least for me). The idea is really cool, I'll grant you that... but it seems to me that it relies WAY too much on luck. Sometimes you can pass the first "form" of the boss on two or three seconds and sometimes you just have to stand there dodging zillions of fireballs for an entire minute until you finally find a hole and decide to attack (that is, if you manage to stay alive). Also, when the screen changes from the boss' second form to the third, you appear right over a hole that kills you instantly if you do not remember to prepare for it (the first time this happens, you have practically no way of avoiding death).
On top of that, you have to beat all four forms without a single "control point". Just a slip while dodging all these fireballs and... poof... you have to start all over again. It's too frustrating. I'd suggest putting an automatic save (using the shift) just after the second form, so you don't have to repeat the entire battle so many times for commiting a single mistake. Still, I'll give it another try later when I come back from dinner (I had to quit just when I managed to get to the fourth form). But man... that thing's just brutal :S Maybe I just have really bad luck... or maybe I'm just not good enough, I don't know.
As for the spelling and grammar... well, I obviously cannot criticize you, as I'm not a native english speaker :P However, I think it would be much better if you didn't use abbreviations like "rly" in the dialogues. They might cause the player to not take the dialogues seriously, as if they were jokes or something funny... and it seemed to me that your story is more on the serious side.
Overall, despite those problems, I liked your level. For the most part, it's well designed and some challenges are pretty clever. It is also pretty difficult, with some parts that could be probably considered as of "Lunatic" difficulty. I think that if you tuned these parts a bit and removed the abbreviations on the dialogues, your level would be a really good one :) Keep up the good work!
EDIT: I forgot to comment on this:
I loved the idea of being trapped in an endless loop until you finally figure how to break free from the illusion :D

Edit by Miss Paula mod: put in spoiler and quote tags
Cool, I'll give the new version a try later :D
UPDATE:
Well, what do you know... after lots and lots of failed attempts yesterday, now I try again and finally beat the boss... on my second try. Definitely, yesterday wasn't my lucky day. Also, playing while being filled with rage doesn't help... at all X)
I re-played the last part with the new version, and now the final battle is much less frustrating :) I noticed you actually added an autosave for each form of the boss, instead of just one after the second form. I think it would have been fine with just that one autosave I suggested, but this will probably make the game accessible to more players. Now, I would say this level is of Hard or Very Hard difficulty.
The ending, however, was a bit disappointing. I expected some kind of explanation on who or what was that evil "statue" that corrupted Juni's dreams. It would have been nice if you had extended the final cutscene a bit... but this is just my opinion.
Anyway, good work :) This is a fun and very challenging level (a bit frustrating on some parts, but manageable). You people should give it a try.
PS: If you want, I could try to help you re-write the english text and remove the abbreviations... but keep in mind I'm not a native speaker, so the result might not be good enough.
The first step is getting the double jump power-up, but you have to do it before jumping over the big wall that leads to the "nightmare" zone. It's on top of the platform with the big waterfall. Use the springs that are on the screen to the left to climb it up. With the double jump, you'll be able to search other parts of this area...
I liked the premise and loved the dream world, i.e. the first part of the first part () of the level. It all went downhill from there. The loop was a nice idea, but there was nothing nice about having to walk all those screens again. The amount of backtracking one has to do if one hasn't explored the good dream fully is really not pretty, particularly if you have to return from the nightmare zone. This could all use more savepoints and some time saving measures.
As for the second part, I completely agree with Vegetal Gibber: very difficult stuff, and eh, the music and the visuals were disappointing after the first part of the game. Also, I haven't figured out how to get to the boss. All I get is endless laughing in the dark.
<_<
UPDATE: Oops, didn't realize there's a new version. Will check it later.
Once you get the umbrella, you have to backtrack all the way to the right (fortunately, having the umbrella makes it easier). That dark tunnel at the left leads to nowhere, you only get endless laughter.
And yes, I do recommend playing the "Boss fixed" version. It makes the last fight MUCH less frustrating, believe me :P
Compeleted.
I've got to say the very beginning of this level is amazing.
the lovely BGM reminds me the NES era.XD
Well after that the nightmare begins.
black & white , visible & invisible , really hard stuff.
the boss fight (fixed version) is a little bit easier but still hard to beat.
anyway, great stuff. Really.
P.S:
BOSS fight reminds me touhou series.
danmaku, you know that.
Does anybody here love that?
