Title: Newbie Question - Layers

Asking this question makes me feel embarrassed..  :S But.. what does the + Layer do in the editor? I know it makes a crosshairs, but for what function?

It makes it easier to see, and it you click on a tile with a certain layer it makes the + layer that layer ;)
