Title: [Small/Environmental] - Warmth
Post by: variad on March 24, 2011, 21:51:48
I'll introduce my second (or first) KS project, Warmth. Actually, it's one of the two levels I had in mind when I joined this community. It's a small environmental level, made of 32 screens. Right now, 28 are done, so it's a matter of days! The graphics are somewhat minimalistic, but I think they look good and not drafty. I first wanted to make something about ice skating, and I kinda went along with that... lots of snow and ice. I added a bit of story. To summarize, it's about Johny, who feels lonely and takes a walk. (You'll see that there's no place around to get a haircut, so that explains the long hair...)

Spoiler: (click to show/hide)

 :)

*Update: We're Sunday the 27th, I think I'll have the level finished for next week-end. I still have CC Music to find... at least 2 musics.

Looks amazing. I love how you did the fading backround in the first screenshot.

That foreground tree is a nice effect. I get a good sense of perspective. Also, I'm happy to see some of my tiles in use.

And I thank you for them, it seems to be the only tileset with boat stuff!

There's this one. To my knowledge it's for public use.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to this too  :P2
Right now, I'm looking for the music... then I'll do a final playthrough, zip it, and upload it. I really really hope I can finish it on this afternoon.
Edit: Almost
