The Great Work / [COMPLETED] A let's play of The Great Work

This is, of course, a let's play of The Great Work. Been looking forward to this one about as much as Knytt Underground, if not a little bit more because of the swimming parts of the trailer seeming incredibly neat. Nonetheless, I present to you.. The Great Work!

Knytt Underground / Let's play? Selling out? Sure!

Boy, I sure do feel like I'm selling out doing this, but hey.. my Saira playthrough got some good (albeit a small amount of) feedback, so I figure I'll post this here.

I'm doing a let's play of Knytt Underground. I've been looking forward to this game for so long, I almost found myself flailing with excitement when I saw it was finally out for Windows. (curses, my much desired Linux version isn't out yet)

So, I went and recorded a quick teaser video before I start the recording proper tomorrow night. Teaser's here, and I sincerely hope I'm not breaking any rules, written or unwritten in doing this.

If I am, delete away! If not, well.. maybe stop by to watch. -nudge nudge-

Okay, since I now realise the old format of videos in a nice table (as in the spoiler below) will take up a ridiculous amount of room by time I finish the game, I'm switching to this new format!

Saira / My Saira Let's Play?

Alright, some of you may, or may not remember that I said I'll be doing a let's play of Saira quite a while ago.. Wow, in December no less. But I discovered that, when I was about to start.. oh no, PizzaBoy's gone ahead and decided to do his first let's play of Saira. So, after tangling with the web of Intarnets, and the morality of starting your own let's play of something that someone else is already doing.. I decided to go ahead with it.

If PizzaBoy really doesn't want me doing mine, I'll call it off, of course.

Anyway, the first part is here. Let me know what you all think, and whip me appropriately if this should be somewhere else.

Okay, I have to say... wow. I adore this game. Bought a serial for me, and a spare to give to a friend. Someone I know is bound to want one.

I'll edit this later with more thoughts. Too busy playing. <3

Knytt Stories Level Previews / [Challenge] Rahangou mā Tūkino Beta

Well, I think I'm nearly ready to post a beta of my level, now. I changed the name because, well, it was an obscure joke that no-one really got, and it didn't lend to the game itself.

I'm still busy adding the finishing touches, but anyone interested in testing the level, just post here. The general idea of the story is Juni waking up in a "mysterious testing facility", and naturally, you'll try to escape. There is more, but I'd like to keep that for whoever ends up testing.

This is my first level, so any critique whatsoever (be it on the screenshots or on the beta itself) will be greatly appreciated. By time the level is ready for a final release, every tileset will be custom-made by me. As-is, I'm using existing tilesets to get the level design, and story flow sorted. Anyway, enjoy some screenshots!

So if you're interested in testing, just post here. I want 3-4 testers, just to be thorough.

I have two testers so far. Truthfully, two should do the job, but I'd welcome one more.

PS: The title of the game is in Māori. The grammar of it is likely horrendous, but.. I don't know anyone who speaks it, so.. :P

Knytt Stories Level Previews / [Challenge] Tv Sciences Testing Facility

Hey, everyone! This is just a small preview of a level I'm working on. It's intended mainly as a challenge level, although I'll be making it aspretty, and ambient as I can.

By the way, kudos to anyone who picks up the subtle parody in the title of the game.

The story thus far contained on the game is fairly simple. You find yourself in a strange testing facility. You know nothing of the mission behind this facility, or or of the people (or things) who run it.

I'd like to know where I could post a playable demo of what I have so far? I intend to release it in an episodic nature, with what I have so far being the first "episode". Every new release will contain everything before it, so I'm not comfortable posting it in the "finished" levels subforum quite yet. Any input on that would be great. :P

Anyway, enough of tl;dr-ness. A few screenshots here!

Any input on the screenshots would be great, too. Thanks in advance!

PS: Yes, I cheated to get the second screenshot. So, sue me! :P
