So, ehm. Welp. This sure has been a while.

When I first came to these forums I was still a grade schooler, or perhaps I'd just started middle school. I don't even remember, but when cleaning up stuff I realised I still had some leftover levels that.. I could actually still be proud of. This project was made somewhere between 2012 and 2013, and while it was never really finished in my head, I've decided to release it as-is, because I really loved making it and I'm very curious if people would still enjoy this. It's more on the environmental side of things, but there's difficulty in there so I'll just keep it around Normal/Hard I suppose. For the completionists, there's a total of 3 endings, and (if I remember correctly) 2 secrets to be found.

So, ehm, yeah. I'll just leave some screenshots here.

*Aaand apparently I can't leave the level here, so I'll just leave it here in a link. Sorry guys, it's sure been a while.

Level!

Knytt Stories / A stories' difficulty level; how and what?
« on: May 17, 2012, 23:59:35 »
Hiya, everyone.
I was working on my level up until I started writing this, and while making it I started thinking about the difficulty levels.
Since I always made solely environmental levels, that wasn't a problem, but now that I've added enemies I've started to wonder about this.
As far as I know, there are no real 'guidelines' for the difficulties: the creator just calls it 'hard', 'lunatic' or 'easy'.
But how should a creator judge that? Should he judge it after the general level, or after the difficulty of the most difficult obstacle?

I myself would choose the last option; there are probably many others as well, though.
That's why I thought to post this here, to gather some opinions.

So, what do you think? How do you judge the difficulty of your own stories?

Hi! I'm here again, after my Knytt Stories apparently stopped working and I lost my old levels.
However, even though old things have been lost, I can always make new ones.
And since I've realised that even after four years of creating my own worlds with Knytt Stories, I still enjoy making them, I started this new level.
It's completely composed of original composites; nothing custom, just me creating whatever I can with all that Nifflas so kindly gave us.

With that said, I will add some screenshots of the level, to show you my progress.

(The screen count for now is 67)

Knytt Stories / Knytt Stories editor troubles
« on: April 14, 2012, 22:11:19 »
Hiya,

Since a fair while I've been using Avira as my virus scanner. For some reason, however, Avira doesn't want me to open the editor. Knytt Stories itself works just fine, though. I've tried to let Avira ignore the problem, but the warning message keeps popping up. I really have no clue how to fix this, so I was wondering if any of you knew.

Knytt Stories Level Previews / [Enviromental?] Nai and Gai
« on: June 10, 2011, 15:57:21 »
Hey guys! Guess what? I'm back! maybe..

Jokes aside, I really am back. Summer break's onto us already, so I have loads of time to do stuff like this!
This level is like most of my levels enviromental, at least for now. So far, I've made 15 screens in basically 2 days. I'll just leave these here and hope someone will respond within a week (responding at all would be nice, too!)

The title are two Japanese words, which would translate (if you are very bad at Japanese) into Inside and Outside. What that means, you will discover later....

Aww screw it I've never been good at this FORESHADOWING stuff. It's a major plotpoint, so what..

Enough random nonsense now. Let's post some screens:

So, eeh, this is my music thread. Here, I'll be posting various songs I've composed.

-The Legend

-Wayfarer's song

-Haunted Ballroom

-Frozen Citadel

-Unnamed and unfinished castlevania-inspired song

Feel free to post your opinions!

Knytt Stories - Custom Content / Looking for some tilesets
« on: June 19, 2010, 19:50:52 »
As the title says, I'm looking for some old tilesets.
My PC crashed, so I lost them. I'm looking for any or all tilesets by Black M.1 or Alex Silva.
Don't know if he's still editing KS, don't think so, so does anyone have any tilesets?

Knytt Stories Level Previews / [Enviromental] Dusk town
« on: June 18, 2010, 20:48:45 »
Well, this is my newest project.
Many of you will probably not have heard of me, my last project was Mount Ignis, which was never finished, but you can download the last version I made on Knyttlevels.

So, about this project.

If you've played Mount Ignis, you'll know what my style for creating KS levels looks like.
This level is no exception. It features all kinds of overlapping tiles, as you'll see in the screenshot below.

Tilesets used right now are:

- "Nowhere" by Richard "Arcturus" Dunn
- "Spooky forest" by the Almighty one himself, Nifflas  ;)
-"Poisonous Forest", also by Him.
-"ORTOFAKTOR by Simon Jonsson
-"Technology of the ancients" by Markham Carroll
-"Furniture madness" by Paula
-"Ruined church" by BlackM.1
-"Underwater Ruins" by Zenth (or is it 2enth?)

The story so far is simple.

Juni has always lived in this dusky town, in her house, never leaving, looking outside the window and seeing the town, always plagued by fog. One day, she decided to explore outside, to see what lied beyond her own home.

Any comments so far?

Btw, screen count: 35.

NightSky / Uses of the Balls
« on: March 02, 2009, 15:01:39 »
After a long and conductive view of the Trailer, i have found the use of two of the balls..
1. Ball with spinning center: Keeps on rolling to the side you point.
2. Red ball: Sticks to a platform
3. White ball: I don't really know what it does... It looks familiar to 1, but i don't really know.

If anyone discovers anything else about this, i'll try to add.
